   I am utterly disappointed with this so called master hairstylist with 9 years of experience, who was disrespectful to me over the phone as I was trying to book an appointment. I called in to book a hair appointment for my mother in law for 4-5pm the following day, “Ash” says yup that’s fine what did you want to get done, I explained to her what my mother was looking to get as it wasn’t for me, she was okay with it until I explained that my mother inlaw is blind, and doesn’t exactly know what she wants, she then “cackles” under her breath and says, “sorry we can’t help you with that”. I’m am at disbelief that all of a sudden Ash can’t assist? Is it because my mother in laws blind?, my mother in law is a hard working lawyer and mother and this so called “LUXURY TREATMENT” hairdresser gives anything but luxury, respect, empathy and decency.

   Ash is a super talented hairdresser who was able to see my inspiration photos and was able to take it further than i could have imagined (in a good way). It was great working with her to achieve the hair of my dreams (and she’s absolutely aced it). Definitely recommend Ash for any colour service even if what you want seems a little unconventional. She has exceeded my expectations while also making me feel so comfortable and welcome. I can’t wait to come back and get touched up in the future

   Absolutely outstanding service and stunning results! I’ve had bleach blonde highlights for years, and finally decided to transition back to my natural color — and Amelia made it such a smooth and beautiful experience. Her attention to detail, skill, and care truly exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend, 10/10!

   I recently had my hair done at Pure Capelli in Hamilton, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Ash did an absolutely wonderful job—she’s incredibly talented and really knows how to bring your vision to life. It’s such a shame I live in Australia because if I didn’t, Ash would definitely be my regular hairdresser. That being said, I made sure to book in with her again before I head back to Australia, she’s just that good! I’ll be making it a priority to see her on all my future trips back to New Zealand. If you’re looking for a stylist who’s skilled, friendly, and truly cares about her clients, I highly recommend booking with Ash at Pure Capelli.

   I want to give a huge welcome to Madale who just joined Pure Capelli. I came to her vet recently about how badly dons my hair was layered by another hair stylist. I explained how I wanted my hair, she explained what happened and how she could resolve it. Not only did she do this, she went above and beyond. 5 starts. I’m now going to be her regular customer

   I keep editing this review because the hairdresser was so lovely but ultimately I was really disappointed with her technique. There was no effort put into the cut. I asked for curtain bangs and I’m convinced she didn’t know how to do them because I ended up with long, bluntly cut pieces instead of angled. She didn’t cut it the length I wanted as she stated that my hair would bounce up to that length. However, my hair is so thick and heavy that no bounce is possible so that’s not true. She didn’t thin it or shape it. She didn’t check to make sure both sides were even. She dyed my hair in the sink and it clearly wasn’t painted on evenly as I have bleachy patches. The colour is nothing like what we discussed or what she showed me. The end result isn’t horrible but if I’m paying for a master stylist, I’d expect them to know what they’re doing. As I said, she was a lovely person! And I didn’t say anything on the day so I’m sure she would’ve fixed it up if I had said anything.

   Had an appointment Wednesday 24th May at your salon for balyage, root fade, toner, ends trim and your stylist was lovely but I am really disappointed with the result. I paid $309 for the service and had to go to another salon ASAP paying more to have it fixed. The colour I came away with after my appointment at your salon was harsh, brassy and ginger, didn’t cover the grey and it was not at all what I wanted. I understand my hair presented some challenges to your stylist as there was previous colour in it and some heat stying damage. However for $309, I expected a professional consultation and a much better result. Photo attached. Woeful work. Highly disappointed. The stylist at Kess that fixed it was quite aghast at the colour, cut and damage to my hair. With the right toner and treatment, the stylist at Kess did an amazing job at fixing the colour. Update: thank you to the Pure Capelli salon owner who replied to my email and offered a complementary appointment in 5 weeks (as I have already been to another stylist instead of back to Pure Capelli to have it rectified). But I'm really happy with the new salon and stylist I've found. Accepted $160 refund to cover the cost of rectifying the colour.

   Vic is an absolute magician. She works with you and for you; making sure you look and feel amazing! She has great chats and makes you feel so comfortable the whole time. I cannot thank her enough for her skills and kindess, and am so looking forward to seeing her again soon. She’s well worth your time!

   Talented high end transformational hairdresser. Needed to buy special shampoo and conditioner for a treatment I received and waited over 5 weeks for it to arrive meanwhile having to pay for samples. Was disappointed considering previously I had really thought this place was unfaultable. 5 stars if the service was 100% right from product shelf to salon seat.
