   Stopped here for early lunch. The melt I ordered tasted stale and was inedible. My moccha was way too milky, only just warm and unpleasant to drink. Most of the tables hadn't been cleaned and the only cleanish one we could find wobbled to the point drinks spilled. Have tried complaining about coffee once before only to receive a weak apology. Won't be back. Lunch out is a treat and I just wasted $20.00.

   I always go to Robert Harris just down the Mall a little bit but I tried this on recommendation from a mate. 2pm, not too busy. I ordered a large flat white extra hot to takeaway, and cheese scone with 2 butters to eat-in. I sat at a table with dirty dishes and crumbs all over. The service - they gave me a warm coffee in a cup and a pretty dry scone with 1 butter. And didn’t wipe down or clear the table of the previous customers dishes.(This was the same for a number of tables.) Sharper service would make all the difference Muffin Break. (note - after 20 minutes, someone came out to clear the empty tables)

   I asked for a chocolate frappe with a shot of coffee. I got an anemic ceam-coloured thing that didn't look at all chocolate, and had cream on top. (I don't normally like cream added but forgot to ask, and they didn't check). I told the server that the drink did not look chocolate, and pls remove the whipped cream. She took off the cream (thank you) but then, I think, just poured the drink into a new plastic cup with a smear of chocolate on the inside. Still does not taste like chocolate...or coffee...or frappuccino. It tastes like a MILKSHAKE of indeterminate flavour. Not coming here again.

   Absolutely love Muffin Break at Te Awa (The Base) in Hamilton! The customer service is warm and friendly, making every visit a delight. Their muffins are always fresh, soft, and bursting with flavour, and the coffee is just perfect, rich, smooth, and exactly what I need to start my day. Highly recommend!

   Ordered party platter for shared lunch, which is so delightful. Everything is so freshly made ! Highly recommended variety Muffins and chicken wrap. Owner gives us good recommendations of the selection to fit everyone’s preference. Definitely a good place not only for coffee but also for lunch catering.

   Coffee was weak and the muffin was stale. I ordered a mocha and it was weak to say the least and I couldn't taste the chocolate at all. Also ordered a double chocolate muffin and and even after being heated up, it was stale and tasted more than a few days old. I'd recommend spending a few extra dollars and going to the Robert Harris kiosk instead.

   Had to remind the lady to bring the rest of the order. Hardly any blueberry in blueberry muffin, but good gluten free spinach and feta muffin (see photo for proof of very good muffin remainder!) Good cappucinos too.
