   I have been here often. Good prices here and staff are most of the time pleasant. However, this place is a hazard. The store is overloaded, smells musty and damp. I wonder if the staff are getting sick from the exposure to god knows what that funnels through their store. I feel for them having the neighborhood regularly dumping all their generally dirty junk out the front of there door and then they have to sort and clean this in the morning. Whoever is in charge here, should implement change immediately.

   Totally shocked by the old lady on the phone, she was very impatient and rude, I was asking when would the driver coming for collection and she yelled back:"I don't know, i only work in the shop!" and I ask is there any way to contact the driver regarding collection time as we all working whole day really need to arrange someone at home, at least we know which day you guys coming, and she was like" I TOLD YOU I DON'T KNOW, STOP ASKING ME".and she hang up!!!.. I was extremely shocked as I was the one wish to donate lots of goods to the shop and the service I got was like I beg for anything! Is this really red cross shop? which should have full of love and kindhearted staff, I doubt. Of course I won't visit the shop and donate anything to this shop, I called Hamilton east branch and the lady there is very nice helpful.

   The only thing this place has going for it is the prices. Weird smell of sanitiser and urine, crammed racks and awkward layout resulting in back breaking browsing. Also there’s only one changing room right next to the counter with only a curtain. Felt way too vulnerable in there! Homewares was a disaster. There’s much better places to hit up for second hand goods

   A DUMP. This place is so dirty and just not organized. The floor looks like it hasnt been vaccumed in years and the clutter in EVERYWHERE! This place needs new management, the VERY old lady is a grump who needs to go. I suspect that she is the reason it looks so DISGUSTING. Rude and dismissive. Just walked away from me when I asked for help. She have family working with her, which I don't think is appropriate and makes me wonder if there maybe something suspicious going on, when i was leaving i noticed the daughter was going through donations and loading them in their car without paying. I love the New Zealand Red Cross and their mission, but these people are very very suspicious and may need to be investigated by Red Cross superiors. Once the awful family leave, this store would better represent the New Zealand Red Cross.
