Good place to get Indian products but the is I personally don't like about this place is that Manager is very rude with the customers. I personally experienced it He was very rude to me while I been there for shopping....now I prefer other shops for groceries.
One staff at counter very rude. I went last week when there was a food stall at the back side. One car was parked which was not a parking. I noticed same issue many times. So I told the tall young guy (with beard) at counter if they can put a yellow mark to that area with 'No Parking' sign. At first he said they are not aware if there is any food stall in their premises. When I questioned how that can be as it was in their premises, then he started saying it is individual's sense who parked there. I just suggested to put yellow 'No parking' mark as for the one car parked (marked red), all the cars at backside (marked green) would have been impacted. The staff (tall with beard) at counter was arrogant. One more thing, I noticed that for many items on racks they put less price tag, but when invoiced they took more price. When I pointed, they mentioned they forgot to change the price tag. I think that's one tactics to dupe customers.
Absolutely love this place! It has everything you could possibly want from an Indian grocery – from fresh produce, spices, lentils, flours, snacks, frozen parathas, to hard-to-find specialty items. The shelves are always well-stocked, and the store is clean and organized. Prices are fair, and they often have great deals on bulk items. What really makes it stand out is the friendly staff — they’re super helpful if you’re trying to find something specific or need a recommendation for a certain dish. Whether you’re doing a full Indian meal prep or just craving a quick samosa and some masala chai mix, this place has it all. Honestly, once you shop here, you won’t want to go anywhere else. Highly recommended!
Hi i had bad experience recently.i bought red salt bag it came with small stones in it.i attached photo thats from one scoop of red salt. Other thing i bought allubhujia that was really bad feels like not done properly .color was off and taste was bad and it was feeling like not cooked enough ,it gets doughy in mouth i took that package back to shop but that guy refused to return because i didn't have recipient,
Excellent and prompt response. I placed my order on Thursday and it arrived on Saturday which rather came as a shock to me. Everything was well packed and this will definitely be my go to place for future shopping. Email communicate and tracking can be improved a little bit though. Awesome overall experience.
This is fabulous place to buy bulk foods like rice, flours, nuts, all sorts of legumes including all the Indian ones of course, spices, etc. Approximately half the price of mainstream supermarket packages. Gopala yogurt cheap in large container too. There is tons and tons of packaged Indian foods as well like snack foods, spices, jars and cans, huge selection of frozen foods. But I don't buy anything in a bag, box, or can so I go mainly for the dry goods in bulk. Also a bottle of sesame oil. Big selection and savings. And lots of friendly staff working there too. Can't ask for more. Except, I remember their fresh produce being very good prices a few years ago, but not anymore, too expensive now. All I could buy was a giant cabbage for $3.00. I'm not Indian by the way, one of the very few customers who isn't.
VERY DISAPPOINTED & SELLING EXPIRED PRODUCTS I thought I can trust this store but I don't know if Yogiji is selling expired products and fooling customers.will never go again. I just bought this bhakharwadi a week back and they mentioned the expiry date “use by 16th june 2023 when i opened this it has fungus on it you can see in attached photo. Do not recommend and please check the products especially the food when you buy from Yogiji
Went to Yogiji’s Food Mart in Christchurch, it’s a really nice Indian Supermarket. Has lots of items and lots of varieties of stuff. Happy to have a supermarket like this in New Zealand.
Located closer to City Center, this Indian grocery store in one of the biggest I have seen so far in Christchurch. The store has all the grocery essential one needs. Along with utensils and veggies. Plenty of Parking spaces and off street parking. Must visit for all the Indian or any Asian looks for species
