   Just down right disappointed! It's been the last 5 times of ordering.. Worst Thai food by far, absolutely terrible.. Spicy fried rice: flavourless, mushy. Pad Thai: overcooked noodles, overly sweet, and just uneatable. Green and red curry... thick, and blahhhh. I'd dare to say this is NOT an authentic Thai run restaurant anymore.. Just keep holding hope, but after repeated orders of over $120 each time.. I have spend almost a $1000 over the past year, and every single time its terrible... Not bad, but extremely disappointing... just so bad that I will never eat anything ever again in this place... Try anything, and where except here... avoid when eating in Papamoa.. it's expensive, and has is not authentic, not well cooked, and not worth the money.. Too bad this place use to be good... not anymore. Just a waste of a good location. Could be so much better.. in every way.. Only positive is the location, and the atmosphere inside... everything else is just hit and miss.. I have tried over 1/2 the menu.. and would suggest to anyone interested, go somewhere else.. Lantern is good! Elks food cart is good... but this place... no no no

   We were visiting family in Papamoa and looking for a good local restaurant. As we spoke with our family and neighbours we were recommended Thai Thani by many. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious with generous portions that wr enjoyed the next day for lunch. Provided a good variety of food and vary accommodating to our dietary requirements.

   Being fairly new to the area, this was my second time dining at this restaurant. Last night was to celebrate my birthday with 2 family members. On both occasions I have been impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and comprehensive menu. Service also excellent. Last night the restaurant was buzzing with other diners which added to the atmosphere.

   You can’t order takeaway by phone, you have to do it from their website. Which is absolutely fine if they would actually have your food ready at the time they give you to select from. We order for pick up at 6.45pm giving them 45 mins notice. Arriving on time we were told it would be another 30 mins. Our food didn’t come out until 7.40. There was no apology, no acknowledgement. Nothing. The food was also pretty average compared to the Thai food we usually order from other places. First and last time. Which is unfortunate because I think it’s the only Thai restaurant in Papamoa.

   Amazing place. The Indian manager is the most professional manager I have ever seen. The place is extremely busy, and why not...the food is tasty. e ordered the sizzling Beef mandarin and Tom Yum soup.. Plus prawns Cheers

   just had dinner here tonight and it was fantastic! service was friendly, young girl was training but doing a great job, very polite and warm. we got pad thai and "taste of thai thani" and both dishes were huge portions! the pad thai was excellent and the taste of thai was even better! both were large servings and had plenty of meat in them, with fresh veges and had been cooked to perfection. i even have enough left overs for lunch tomorrow. nice! both dishes were around $25 with beef, and for seafood option they would have been a few dollars more. I have lived in the area for 6 years and never tried this place, but decided to try it based on a friend's recommendation and I will definitely be coming back again soon to try the curries! I noticed they have lunch specials all for around $17 so will have to try that too.
