The clothing selection isn't particularly extensive, especially for shoes. For example, size 9 men's shoes are usually available in only a few styles. There's a lot of clothing scattered around the store, and it often sits unattended for extended periods. The front desk staff were quite helpful.
15th July 2025... There was only one young MΔori girl working at the counter, clearly overwhelmed, calling multiple times for assistanceβbut no other staff were anywhere to be seen. Two customers were waiting at the counter, and others around the store needed help. Where was the rest of the team? Where was the floor manager? Itβs not fair on her or the customers. Rebel Sport needs to seriously improve their staffing and customer service.
Three pairs of Nike shoes were placed in front of a $45 dollar sign, the staff said the price label hadnβt been changed as they had forgotten. After making me wait 30 minutes just to come back to me and say they canβt price match the shoes. I was happy to pay full price, it was just being made to wait and the lack of communication that was frustrating .
Nice Central location. Staff are very helpful. Plenty free parking nearby. The shop fit out is a bit dark and old/dated - comparing to other Rebel stores in the North Island. They need to keep an eye on the checkout counter and have more staff readily to assist when the queue starts getting longer. Also the queue management should be better organised by staff in charge. Customers are having to quere all over the place right by the entrance which is also the check out. When others want to get in/leave store, it creates a block right in front of the check out counter. They should consider using those elastic queue management/direction equipment to ensure better foot traffic flow either way.

Very messy not well clean or organized but good products and abit priced
Thank you Taine Morrison for your help in finding the perfect fit for my son's long & very wide feet. We've struggled to find descent shoes, but this shop provided an in-depth analysis on how this shop can provide the most comfortable shoes for my son. Appreciate the findings!
The service the assistant gave me was very friendly and helpful. My intentions were to get some crossfit shoes, but the lack of choices - no crossfit shoes, meant I ended up walking out with gym wear. Which I guess was okay, as they were on sale.
Good place to shop for sporty stuff. But need a staff to tidy the displays.
