Love this shop !!! Staff are awesome and as someone who doesn't buy shoes that often the whole experience is stress free and fun.
Normally I love purchasing my shoes from this platypus. However, today I witnessed the most disgusting language used by one of the employees behind the counter. An Asian woman saying the ‘n-word’ while on the phone. This is horrible and disgusting behaviour. i’m not sure what the time was but it was the afternoon of Sunday the 3rd of august. I just can’t bring myself to shop at this store anymore, maybe not even the company. I am completely horrified and there simply isn’t any excuse or reason she should speak that way ever. It’s especially disgusting that she felt comfortable enough to speak like that in her workplace. What kind of workplace do these people foster?
I came in on Monday and was served by both Ashley and Rishab, they were so lovely and efficient and got the shoes very quickly. I also got some very high quality socks, thanks to their recommendation! Thanks guys!
Music was so loud I couldn't hear the salesperson talk. The manager chatted loudly with another salesperson making it even harder to hear the kind salesperson assisting me. Didn't have the shoes in the right size and took some time to find out there were none in stock nationwide. Enduring the loud music while I waited was very unpleasant. No wonder I was the only person in the shop. Why do you have to play your music so loud? It's very stressful and can't be healthy for staff working there.
Did not know they had a shop in Chartwell, picked up a bargain, Puma shoes that I really like at 50% off.
Great service from three young adults. I needed advice, walked up to the counter and asked the young man there. He confidently gave me the recommendation I needed, and after 15 minutes of deciding on a variety of shoes - with the help of two very attentive young women - I walked out of the shop with the shoes the young man had recommended because as it turned out, he knew what he was talking about!
I was served yesterday by a young man with some cool rings :) HUNTER!! thank you so much for all your efforts in tracking down the particular shoes that i wanted, you went above and beyond. your'e the best! and an asset to the company. I hope your employer sees this and gives you a bonus G!!!
Packed full of punters on Boxing Day, the staff seemed to be run off their feet. They had some huge discounts and there were a quite a few bargains to be had, I think I missed them by arriving too late in the day. More generally they have a fairly small floor area and not a huge range, and they seem to target a younger generation of shoe buyers.
