I have to be the one that gives this low rating. I only went to the shop to support local businesses, knowing that buying online is going to be at least 30% cheaper for the same or similar products. I went tuesday Jan 21 2025. I am not born in new Zealand but live permanently in Hamilton as for now. Here are my reasons 1. I didnt receive proper help 2. customer service skills are very low 3. there were 2 staff ladies and all they did was chit chat and complain I remember the gentleman from that store in the past and he was very good and knowledgeable. I am concern that many businesses operate like this. I highly suggest doing some customer service skills to the staff. The big differentiator in physical shops is how they treat clients and make them feel special and heard. If businesses are unwilling as i said in my intro paragraph: easier to find things online. thanks
Always a pleasure shopping here.! Staff are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Good amount of stock on hand and can be ordered in quickly if needed. Thanks Team for helping me last minute get decent work shoes to replace my very old crappy farm shoes I'd inadvertently left home in :(

We had such an amazing experience shopping at Trek N Travel today. The selection of outdoor equipment is the best we have seen, so much better than the chain stores. The staff were very knowledgeable and made choosing the gear we needed for our daughter's camp super-easy. The best service I have had in retail for a very long time. I highly recommend.
