   The food is mostly bland. We had prawn toast, pork dumplings, steam prawns, spring rolls, steamed chives & prawns & combination fried rice.prawn toast :4, pork dumplings were heavy & bland, so we're the other prawns dishes: 1. The spring rolls were crispy & a bit of flavour: 2. The fried rice: 2-3. The atmosphere sets the atmosphere of what you can expect.

   My hubby and I had lunch at Regal Chinese Restaurant at Hamilton on 9/7/2025. As we went there at around 2:45pm, the lady staff told us that we had to order our food as soon as possible. We ordered four dishes very quickly. Food was okay but was not so impressive.

   Yum Cha - the authentic Canton cuisine. Another great discovery. My wife had a short conference at Hamilton, and we decided to have a date. It has been a long time since I brought her for a good authentic Chinese cuisin, and both of us loved Dim Sum (点心) a touch of heart and I want to touch her heart through her mouth. I explored the night before and found this place Regal Chinese Restaurant (富豪- literally means rich man) to Yum Cha (饮茶 - drink tea) Of course, we need delicious Dim Sum to go with the tea. The reviews were not outstanding, but when we were welcomed by friendly waitresses and the ambience was very Cheena, we felt at home right away. In fact, the very success of a Chinese restaurant is to have a good chef. And I found out that he is from Canton. Canton cuisine is, to me, one of the most meticulous and uncompromising cuisines. That's why it is so delicious. The menu has so many items and we picked a few that we both like. E.g. Phoenix Crawl, (百合酱凤爪) Siew Mai, (烧卖) Chee Cheong Fun or Fun Cheong,(鲜虾肠粉) Salted Water Dumplings, (咸水角) and Lo Mai Gai (瑶柱糯米鸡) Our favourite of the day is really the Chee Cheong Fun or Fun Cheong,(鲜虾肠粉) and Siew Mai, (烧卖). The Fun Cheong is wrap with a steamed skin, soft and flavourful sauce. But when we took the first bite... my goodness, there is another layer of skin with is deep fried and crispy. Amazing skin within a skin. What a gastronomical pleasure when the softness and crunch mixed in union, it is unprecedented! Then when I took my first bite at the the Siew Mai, my literal expression is... woah! The Prawn is very fresh and the Pork is tender. A wonderful Q feeling when chewing the Siew Mai. This is definitely a destination for my family, friends, and for anyone who will visit us in NZ. They know who they are.

   Good if you want FOOD POISONING, spent nearly $600 just to be given off chicken. When asked to refund the 1 dish they refused and started being rude. Our family will never return and I hope the department of health & safety checks them out. #Foodpoisoningcentre.

   Excellent service and highly recommended! Called to order before opening time, speak politely and took my order. When i arrived, i asked to pay for a takeaway chinese tea to go with my dim sum, the lady gave a big cup of tea for free and said, "you got to enjoy your dim sum with the tea, no charge". Taste of the chicken feet and bbq bun is almost best in town! Will come back!

   i had staff dinner here today and we loved it. flavour is decent, and each portion is enough to share for 7 people. we ordered 8 dishes for 7 people and it was enough for all of us. they have main branch in Rotorua, and it is also a must try chinese restaurant well done
