Some of the best udon noodles we've ever had. The place was spotlessly clean with a pleasant, cosy, and budget-friendly interior design. We also really enjoyed the sushi and sashimi.
What a hidden gem! The food was top tier, we ordered the crab sushi, duck and eggplant. Stunning presentation. The crab was melt in your mouth, fresh tasting and excellent protion size for a shared starter. The mains were great, the eggplant was on another level! You can tell the chefs really know what they are doing. The atmosphere and staff were also great. 10/10 will eat here again.
Very friendly and attentive staff. The bento boxes were great - there was a bit of everything to try on and the portions were more than enough. Loved especially the grilled fish, tempura and pickled aubergine.
Authentic Japanese restaurant. I enjoyed meals and it was very tasty but I found some of dishes are slightly smaller portion than anticipated especially for the price.
We went for lunch and it was truly a gem. Staff and chef are Japanese and the flavors of the dishes were true and authentic. Also appreciate how clean the restaurant and bathrooms are. Definitely a must go! βοΈ

Tomi was a very decent find. We were on holiday in Christchurch and decided to try this place and it did not disappoint. Plenty of parking out back which is always pleasant, the ambiance inside is actually very Japan like, feels authentic. The food itself is damn amazing, everything we got tasted excellent, salmon Nigiri was special, Iβve never seen it prepared like this with such a long tail. And topping it off, service is excellent, always with a smile and the staff were very helpful. Canβt go wrong if you want some tasty Japanese food.
