Awsome people to deal with knowledge was massive had answers for all the questions I needed went to wat to in what area which is best which is not colours different species but same trees plants etc just Awsome!!!
Large variety of plants and staff so friendly that actually care. Got barrel cacti and I’ll be coming back for more succulents later. Costs for same types of insecticides are cheaper at other plant stores so shop around otherwise plant healthy and cared for there so a A 10/10 for me.
A surprisingly great cafe nestled into this place. Really accommodating of large groups and friendly staff. Good food at usual cafe prices
Not the best kings store I have been to. Quality of the plants is not as good as the other stores. Very few staff. Very nice and cosy restaurant
Called in and brought some lovely petunias. Even at almost closing time the staff were so helpful and friendly AND smiling. Flowers and Smile. Brightened my day. Thanks team.
The best garden center around!! It really is my happy place :) if you go during the week, the staff are absolutely exceptional and knowledgeable with all the time in the world to talk you through any requirements or trouble shooting. When I forayed into houseplants for the first time a few months ago, the lovely young lad helped me out and thoroughly explained the difference between what I’m used to (vegetable growing) and recommended some easy plant options to start with. Months later my ZZ and Snake plants are absolutely thriving!! I have used their home delivery service for large amounts of compost etc (exceptional service), purchased gifts, purchased seedlings, shrubs, bulbs, and always seem to get the best advice should I require it. For the first year I have even had success with dahlias due to helpful advice which I am thrilled with. I generally give the cafe a miss since it’s changed hands, but my niece thinks the fluffies and chips and range of activities to keep the Littlies entertained is great. Gets a bit busy on the weekend with some of the less knowledgeable staff on, but they will always find someone who can help you if you are willing to be patient and wait your turn politely :) ka pai Kings Takanini team, keep it up!!
