From what I remember, there’s always a relatively long wait time. And with very limited parking, it took us 20 minutes to find a spot today, only to be told we’d need to wait at least 30 minutes once we got upstairs. The food is good, but not good enough for all the hassle and the wait. We won’t be going back.

It was late in the day and only one other couple, and I was warned they’d be closing in 30mins but she was happy to make my meal and ohhh it was so delicious, and great value. A plate of perfectly chared chicken, a bowl of rice and 3 lots of vegetables for only $22. A great selection on the menu, I’m going back to try as many as I can.

There are less than a handful of Asian food options in this area. This one is tucked away in the mall. Orders wonton soup for lunch. The soup was more on the bland side and had lots of pepper which overwhelm the whole dish. Wontons were decent size but the fillings didn't have a good marinade.

Overall, perfect! • Beef and Beef Tendon Noodles — 5/5 • Braised Pork on Rice — 5/5, highly recommended • Simmered Pork Ball with Rice — 5/5, highly recommended • Pan-Fried Chicken Leg — 5/5 • Deep-Fried Chicken Drumstick with Rice — 3.5/5 This is a completely authentic Taiwanese restaurant. The beef in the beef noodles is incredibly tender and flavorful. The noodles are chewy and smooth, and the beef broth, which is soy sauce-based, is light with a hint of sweetness. For the braised pork on rice, the combination of minced pork, minced mushrooms, and rice is simply perfect. The simmered pork ball with rice is a must try— the meatball is super soft and well-seasoned. Every bite is juicy and packed with flavor. As for the pan-fried chicken leg, it’s juicy, crispy, and super tender as well with a subtle smoky flavor that makes it irresistible. You should plan to have dinner early as the restaurant closes quite early in the evening. Transportation: You can reach the Remuera Shopping Centre by taking Bus 75, and the restaurant is located nearby.

If you’re in search of an authentic Taiwanese beef braised noodle soup 牛肉麵, this place is it! We are so happy to have found the Tree Cafe after craving for Taiwanese cuisine for such a long time. Their soy milk was also perfect, it was not too sweet and full of flavour! The side dish of pickled cabbage was tasty as well. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. The only downside is that the parking can be somewhat challenging, as there is limited space for the mall customers.

Stopped by because the restaurant planned to go closed, but an unexpectedly good experience. The facility is very clean and tidy. Food was like home-made, not overly flavourful, greasy and salty(家常). I'd say it would be my daily go-to lunch place if I work nearby

I don't like it. Portion was generous but taste just didn't suit my tongue. Bit pricey too. Been to other Taiwanese restaurant (my kitchen), and it was much tastier at about the same price.

The beef noodles were tasty however very little vege with it after specifically asking for a dish with veges. My fiance had the spicy chicken noodle dish the chicken was tasty however just came with a plain bowl of noodles. Wont have the milk tea again either which I usually enjoy
