   I recently got the clasp of my watch fixed through Sanders St Heliers. I was never advised of an approx. cost or quoted prior, or even after my watch was sent off. Upon pick up I was advised the cost would be $115, which I found quite exuberant for a simple clasp fix, additionally I had never been offered a choice whether I wanted to go ahead at such a cost or not. I am quite disappointed at this, as I expected a higher level of customer service from such a high end and well known establishment. Should I not be advised of an approximate cost prior to any repair work being done? If so, I would have definitely found a second opinion. Additionally, I was never given an invoice or cost breakdown as to why it was so much? How was this cost calculated exactly? Very disappointing, won’t be going back or advising others to visit.

   We had our wedding rings resized here, and it was one of the few places that could handle resizing 22k gold. We're so glad we chose them. The two ladies at the counter were lovely, and the goldsmith was also very kind. The price was a bit high for the work done, but we're very satisfied with the final result.

   I brought in a rope clasp for repair, and was initially quoted $35. Upon picking it up, however, I was unexpectedly charged $90, with the justification being “additional work” that was neither mentioned nor authorized in advance. When I inquired why I wasn’t notified, they casually responded that they “didn’t think it was necessary.” (the rope itself was purchased for $30). Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also misleading. No warranty was offered for the work performed. It’s dishonest to deceive and treat customers this way. I recommend staying away from this workshop.

   Unbelievable cost. Three pairs of hanging earrings - changed to three pairs posts and butterflies. $180.00 - $60 per pair - can you believe it??? that equates to a post and a butterfly costing $30 each - still reeling.

   I went to Sanders to help me design a ring for my wife's birthday. I have no idea about these things but Cheryl took the reigns and guided me through the whole process. Once we decided on a design and I set a budget, Cheryl announced that it needn't cost as much as I'd allowed. I thought this to be exceptionally professional and ethical, and it's one of many reasons they are and always will be my families' jewellers for life. Not only did they come in under budget, but she also managed to push through the production time so I could take it on a last minute trip to present to my wife. The ring is sensational, the entire process was flawless and professional and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.
