   I'm being restricted, so I'm posting this here: I just arrived in Auckland a month ago and, based on social media recommendations, chose this shop for high-top, semi-taping. Before the manicure, I removed my nails myself and informed customer service of my nail condition, specifically stating my severe under-nails and sending photos as requested. Customer service replied that the technician was aware of this. My actual experience is as follows: 1) After the treatment, I found that nine out of ten nails had gaps between the nails and the taping tips. Only the nails on my left ring finger were fully filled with glue. I could feel the tips wiggling the same day, and it was even more noticeable the next day. The nail preparation and taping were very sloppy, with no regard for the patient's nail health or future risks. I was rushing home to write my thesis that day, so I didn't get a thorough inspection at the shop. I only discovered the problem after I got home. 2) After returning home, I carefully inspected the nails and found that the problem was even worse on the sides—none of the tips covered the A and B areas, and the shaping process didn't properly connect them. They essentially sanded off the sides of my nails to connect them. This didn't address the problem of the A and B areas, and actually increased the risk of breakage later. The most noticeable spot is my left thumb, where there's a noticeable step on the side. I took photos that day as evidence and contacted customer service 48 hours later. Their initial response was, "Are there any bumps?" They then explained that if the initial damage wasn't intentional, it could be fixed free of charge. This after-sales service rhetoric clearly attempts to shift the blame back onto the customer, paving the way for subsequent charges. A female customer with limited nail art experience or lacking confidence might question whether the "are there any bumps?" question, giving the shop an opportunity to profit from the problem instead of focusing on customer service. 3) Furthermore, after paying the deposit, the shop included a "find a location" message with a large image of a top-up bonus, promoting various top-up discounts. Overall, this sales pitch seemed insincere, more like a sales pitch than simply providing location information. On the day of the manicure, the artist repeatedly mentioned Auckland's struggling economy three times. Objectively speaking, a poor environment is understandable. However, after carefully searching social media, I found that some customers have also complained about the shop applying eyelashes crookedly, judging by the quality of the application, after-sales service, sales tactics, and even reviews of the brushes. It's hard to attribute the problem to the overall environment when the problems lie with the shop itself.
