Just had a wonderful cut and colour by Laura at Gimmy’s Hair Design. Gimmy, Laura and Tom have such a professional salon. I’m always thrilled with my hair when I leave. The salon was immaculately fresh and clean. I would highly recommend Gimmy’s Hair Design Salon.
Ok hair colour. I was almost going to walk out when I saw how dirty salon was, but curiosity got the better of me. Salon was absolutely filthy and tray table was complete with chunks of hair all over it from earlier client. Didn’t get offered any water or drink which I probably would have turned down given how dirty salon was. Skirting boards and power points were black and disgusting with hair. Floor looked as if never cleaned. Also colourist talking on phone in one hand to family for 2-3 mins whilst applying colour in other hand. Basin was less than 1/2 metre from where staff were eating lunch. Not a pleasant relaxing hair experience you would expect from a salon. Plus left with partially dried hair in the freezing cold Auckland weather. Didn’t get a professional blow dry would have expected with a colour appointment. Won’t be back. Salon is a real health hazard.
