   Our daughter attended Koru Montessori preschool from age 3 to 5, and it has been such a beautiful start to her learning journey. The teachers supported her to become independent, follow her interests, and grow in confidence while always encouraging kindness and fairness. We loved how the preschool celebrates culture and differences, helping children respect and value each other from such a young age. As parents, it was incredible to see the foundation this gave her. Since moving on to primary school, she has continued to thrive — even receiving a certificate each year for her learning and effort. We know her preschool years played a big role in building that confidence and love of learning. I was also fortunate to be part of the teaching team here, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences. The environment is warm, respectful, and inspiring, not only for the children but also for the educators. I’ve made lifelong friendships with the community that I will always treasure. We are so grateful for the love, care, and inspiration Koru Montessori has given our family. It is truly a place where children are nurtured to become confident, kind, and joyful learners.    We feel fortunate to have found Koru Montessori Preschool for our son. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and reassured by the calm, nurturing environment. The teachers are not only highly skilled but also genuinely caring – they take the time to understand each child’s unique personality and needs. Our son has grown so much in confidence, independence, and curiosity since starting at Koru. The Montessori approach is beautifully implemented, encouraging the children to explore, ask questions, and develop a love of learning at their own pace. We’ve been especially impressed by how well the staff communicate with us as parents – we always feel informed and supported. The classroom is beautifully set up with natural materials and thoughtful learning activities, and the outdoor space is a real bonus.    A wonderful Montessori preschool! Koru Montessori has been an amazing place for our child. The teachers are stable, caring, and professional, and the Montessori approach is followed thoughtfully. Even though our daughter is very energetic, she was gently but firmly guided to focus and complete her “work” independently – all while being respected for her personality. Children learn through play and hands-on activities, covering everything from phonics and math to science and creative projects – all in a relaxed, pressure-free way. The environment is safe and well-organized, with both indoor and outdoor spaces for work and play. Each term, the curriculum is tailored to children’s interests, making learning fun and meaningful. We’re so grateful for the time our child spent at Koru – it was the perfect start to her learning journey!

   We are very grateful for Koru's existence and the kind, caring, thoughtful and lovely teachers that make it such a special place. Our son loved his time at Koru, always looked forward to coming there every morning and starting a new day full of exploration and meaningful interactions. The center is well-run by a passionate manager, Krystal, (herself a trained Montessori teacher), supported by a small team of outstanding teachers. Apart from the Montessori philosopy that makes Koru a unique option in the area, we also loved the fact that Koru has an amazing homely feel, in large part due to its small size and it being located in a custom-adapted house (with a lovely outdoor playground and some chickens!). Thank you so much for all the warmth, care and support.

   We have had the pleasure of knowing the amazing teaching team at Koru for over 8 years. Ruth, the owner and the manager is truly an amazing and caring person who has the best interest of children at heart. I left my child at Koru every day knowing that she will be treated with kindness and respect and will be cared for. Koru is a high quality preschool that offers a range of activities, from baking and gardening to art and craft, Montessori activities, group projects and much more. Koru is so peaceful and children are so immensely engaged in their freely chosen activities. Teachers observe children closely to guide them in their learning journey by planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for them. They do regular excursions and their end of year concert is breath-taking which they put so much time and effort into. They go above and beyond to ensure the children receive the best early childhood learning experiences. I highly recommend Koru to anyone who is looking for a quality early childhood centre. A huge thank you to everyone at Koru from our family :-)
