I’ve been getting my nails done for over five years, and everywhere I’ve been, a builder gel fill involves removing the previous layer and applying a new one. When I called your salon, I was told it would be $68, with an additional $5 per tip. That was fine. At my first appointment, one tip was added, and I was charged $73, which I understood and accepted. However, at my second visit, the exact same service was done—no additional tips, just a regular refill—yet I was again charged $73. When I questioned the price, the staff member wasn’t able to explain due to a language barrier. When I spoke to the manager afterward, she claimed the price was due to removing and applying a new layer. But that was the exact same process as the first time, and she wasn’t even there on the day, so I found it frustrating that she dismissed what I was explaining rather than listening to the customer. That felt very unprofessional and dismissive. The second issue is how I was treated during my repair appointment. One of my nails cracked less than a week later, and when I came in to fix it, the manager who had done my nails before walked in, greeted only her regular customers, and completely ignored me—no hello, no apology, nothing. At the end, I said thank you and she didn’t even respond. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly feels discriminatory. It was clear that I wasn’t treated with the same respect as other (Pākehā) customers in the room. Whether intentional or not, that kind of treatment leaves a lasting negative impression. I hope you will take this feedback seriously. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of their background.
A careless job. I’ve never walked out of a salon with nail polish on my skin. Application is very poor. Do not recommend.
Excellent place! I was a walk-in and wanted to get a extenstion dip powder for Chridtmas. Cady did my gel manicure, and she was very personable and did very nice work even i had came when they nearly closed . Very friendly people there! I will definitely be going back few weeks later!
Confusing pricing, unprofessional beautician, the scrub was basically touching the surface of the feet without any help. For $38, I think there are heaps better places to go than CoCo Nails!!! Rid off m!
