I have very fine and thin hair, which makes it quite tricky to style. I’ve tried many different hairstylists but it is not easy.This time cause fully booked i have try someone new, and I’m so glad I did! Min was amazing. She really understood my hair type and created a look that suits me perfectly. I absolutely love the result and finally feel confident with my hair again. Friendly staff and good service! I got a haircut by Taira who was gentle and talked me through every step. He constantly checked in with how I wanted my hair to look and I was very happy with the results. I had my hair shortened, thinned, and cut into layers.
I got my hair permanently straightened here around a year ago before my trip to Europe so I didn’t have to style it while overseas. They did an amazing job and it was so much easier to manage. My hair wasn’t dead straight but looked naturally straight which was exactly what I wanted. I remembered I hadn’t left a review as considering doing again. Highly recommend!
It was my first time to visit LAN, I chose Min as my hairdresser. My hair is naturally curly and very frizzy, but Min did a great job styling it. She is a good listener and took time to understand my needs and also add her suggestions. I did cutting and straightening. She cut and straightened it beautifully—without sticking to the head—and the result was smooth and natural. Min also has a good personality and clearly experienced. I’m really happy with her work and would definitely recommend her!
Outstanding service and outcome. Got a chemical hair straightening and even though it's a very long process and the salon is busy, the care and professionalism is like no other place I've been to in Auckland. This review is about the communication, not the hair services. I recently made an appointment for a hair perm and when I arrived I was told my booking was 1 hour later and I’m very sure it wasn’t. They asked me to wait for another hour which couldn’t work as I had other appointment to go to so I had to leave and went to other hairdressers that I have never been to. Now I end up with the hair style I hate. I have been coming to Lan for a while and the stylists are fantastic but the communication definitely needs to improve. I suggest you send text message to confirm the booking to avoid this kind of disappointment.
Really really disappointed with my hair cut today. Service was great, products they use were not good quality for $75 hair cut. I was allocated to hairdresser Mitsuko, I showed her the photo Of hairstyle she carefully checked the photo and asked me about length which was a good start. Then after she started using shearing scissors, omg!! after I got home and had a good look, my hair was sheared to half of the amount and most of hair is down to my ears length, all by shearing. My whole hair is now in various length and way way thinner than needed and not even close to what I wanted. She basically trimmed off half of my hair.. extremely disappointed, never had such a bad hair cut before. Waiting for my hair to grow back, scary experience, unskillful hairdresser.
I went to LAN for hair straightening about two months ago. I have previously done rebounding and keratin straightening both in Asia and NewZealand. When I went for my consultation session to LAN about a year ago they have asked me not to do straightening as I had keratin on and they did not want to damage my hair. I really appreciate their professionalism and honesty . I waited a year and went to consultation again. They have spend so much time informing me about my hair condition and how straightening on top of keratin might damage my hair for the second time. After so much consultation, we have decided to proceed with straightening. They have done such a wonderful job on making sure my hair would not damage and I love the result. Now after about two months I am still happy with the result and definitely will be back to LAN for retouching my roots. Thank you LAN.
