Highly recommend these guys! Just finishing up a term with Callum and he’s a phenomenal teacher. Not easy being an adult learner but he’s been nothing but patient and positive (even when I don’t practise), and has been so intuitive with balancing the fun of smashing drums to cool songs vs technicalities to keep me motivated. Simple and convenient booking system and great communication too!
My daughter has been having lessons with Callum for 2 years and she has improved heaps. Not just with the actual playing of drums but also with her understanding of sheet music, rhythm and knowledge of sound of each bit of the kit. My daughter has ADHD and he has been brilliant at engaging her energy as well as being patient & encouraging with her. I couldn't recommend The Drum Studio and Callum more.
I had a wonderful time learning the drums here! Jordan is a good teacher and I enjoyed the pace of my learning. There's a nice waiting area and a clean bathroom. The payment set up was really easy and I could let Callum know 2 days in advance if I wasn't going to make it to a class. I'd highly recommend The Drum Studio for all levels of learners.
Loved my drum lessons with Stacey. She could see my timing was excellent and I could hold my own. She helped me improve my techniques and challenged me to grow & improve. I’d highly recommend her. Absolutely love my lessons with Jordan - he's an excellent teacher, reminds me to work on my technique and gives me loads of tips to help with my learning. I feel like I've made heaps of progress in a relatively short time frame and that's down to Jordan. It's also mega fun to play on a real kit in the studio (have electric at home) and we learn songs I actually really like. Thank you for the structure and disciplined support!
Look forward every week to drum lessons with The Drum Studio and their amazing tutor Stacy. She makes every lesson super fun and you can feel a significant improvement of skills after each session. The facilities are great too and overall a very nice setup for learning and practicing drumming.
The Drum Studio has a great set up for learning and practicing drums (and guitar). There are several sound-proofed rooms, waiting room (with chairs, couches, and books), and a bathroom. There are a few dedicated car parks beside the building, and you can also park on the surrounding streets. David is a great teacher, who clearly enjoys drumming and teaching others to drum. His knowledge and enthusiasm shine through, making for an enjoyable lesson. He’s super patient too! I started lessons having never held a drumstick before, and David helped me learn to read drum tabs, the basics of drumming, and then steadily increased my skills. He's a font of song and band knowledge too. If you want to learn how to play, I recommend you visit the Drum Studio.
