   After a botched hair job at Vivo Dunedin in March I was not willing to return to them and chose to take my chances at another franchise. I waited until I got to Auckland for the holidays and wow, I had the best experience with Gemma at Vivo Sylvia Park on 16 Dec. I went in for a Kerasilk treatment - everything was incredible from the beginning to the end. Gemma went above and beyond and was thorough, by default she was friendly and genuine (you can’t buy that!) She was punctual, she didn’t cut any corners, she actually listened to want I wanted, she offered me a hot drink, and checked in on me a few times during treatment and her hair care skills were next level - the best basin head massage. I have already booked my next appointment either her in March. She truly delivered on everything advertised and more; my appointment felt more like a true escape from the busy confines of the festive season. Thank you Gemma! I cannot thank you enough - the end result is just fabulous!

   I hadn’t walked into a salon in about 3years after a ‘not so great’ colour experience at another salon but Courtney my AMAZING STYLIST from the get go once I had shown her what I wanted was able to explain to me exactly what she was going to do, gave some great suggestions and she helped settle my nerves immediately and made me feel like I could fully trust her. She also had the lovely Deborah working on my hair too and they are a great combo making you feel like part of the family while still treating you like a VIP. My hair turned out better than what I imagined and I am so grateful for the wonderful experience. I’ve had tonnes of comments already from family and I only walked out of the salon almost 2 hours ago. Thank you Courtney & Deborah for your First Class service!

   I went to Vivo Hair Salon after giving myself a not-so-great DIY haircut, and they absolutely saved the day! My stylist was so kind and understanding — they worked their magic, and somehow turned my uneven layers into a better, fresh style. The whole team made me feel comfortable and never judged. I walked out feeling so grateful. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a little hair rescue!

   I had the most amazing experience here yesterday. It had been 2 years I had my hair done since I have become a mum, I went into Vivo wanting a big transformation colour & cut. My stylist was Melissa, right from the start Melissa was wonderful, she listened to exactly what I wanted, looked at the pictures I had and off we went, the colour came out amazing and the cut matched the exact style I showed her. The atmosphere here is so great, all the ladies help eachother out where needed, it’s professional, the assistants are happy and helpful, I even had the lights dimmed while I was at the wash sink so I could take a little nap if wanted. One very very happy customer here. Thank you so much to all the staff & especially to Melissa for making my experience so amazing. I will be back again.

   It cost me $85 for a standard trim. The woman refused to blow out my hair because she didn’t have enough time (even tho I paid for it) and she gave me a wonky trim that I had to pay to get fixed the next day at a local hairdresser. Pretty disappointing for an expensive haircut.

   I came in a couple weeks ago, I booked for a cut & blow wave. The lady who did my hair was sweet but never gave me her name. It was an awkward experience in general. I don’t want to blame the lady as I’m sure she is nice but I am not happy with my hair. First of all she cut it shorter than I had anticipated- I don’t blame her for that as it could have been a miscommunication issue however she took off a chunk more than I had asked for. Secondly I wanted face framing layers. What I got were blotchy blunt layered cuts not just at the front but all around my head. Very unhappy with these. Thirdly she was unable to blow wave my hair, she even got another staff member to help, who then explained to me that my hair was too thick for a blow wave. (I have had blow waves before with zero issue) thankfully they didn’t charge me for this blow wave but the second hairdresser curled my hair. This was nice and it looked nice but she was so ROUGH with my head and really rushing. They put no products in my hair to hold the curls (my hair doesn’t hold curls for long) so my hair was already flat and straight for my event later that evening, when it was straight I realised how blunt & chopping my “layers were”. I plan to find another salon to fix this. Never coming back again. :)

   honestly amazing!!! i had the pleasure of lovely Courtney doing my hair and she did so well! she has the best eye for detail and would go the extra lengths to make sure i was both alright and that my hair was looking good. she gave me ideas for my ball hairstyles and tips as i’m doing it myself. she is truly a gem that can all perform, lead and guide! she deserves everything good that comes her way!

   Been going to Vivo Sylvia for about 2 years. Raj, my hairstylist really out did herself. I told her what I wanted and she blew it out the water. The only person I trust with colouring and cutting my hair. Thanks Raj!!!! Before and after pics

   Purchased $264 deluxe balayage package, ended up paying $519 then also got chemical burn on my scalp. The hairdresser insisted my scalp was 'fine' even after I made multiple complaints about pain throughout the appointment. Products (perhaps toner?) were not washed off properly, so my hair was pink and very sticky. I went to GP, got confirmed it is chemical related dermititis and got prescribed antibiotics due to risk of infection. I made a complaint to Vivo Contact Centre, then they referred me to their Regional Manager. I have send them the medical certificate as they asked me to, as well as photos and my complaint statement last week. Yet, I have not received any response from them. The whole experience is very disappointing, and I would definitely not recommend Vivo Sylvia Park to anyone.
