    It’s been a while since we last went to Barilla Dumpling, but sadly, this visit wasn’t great. The dumplings were a bit disappointing, skin was quite thick and not much juice inside. Even the white rice was kinda dry and hard. We also tried the sweet and sour pork, but the meat was tough. Luckily, not everything was bad! We still enjoyed the deep fried beans and the crispy chicken those two saved the meal.

    If you are after a feast of dumplings, then Barilla Dumplings is a good option. Lots of variety to choose from. Choose your meat filling and this may be with cabbage or Chives etc. Ask for it to be made Steamed, Boiled or Pan Fried. They have other dishes such as Fried Rice, Noodles and Stir Fried dishes too. Good value for money.

    I recently visited this restaurant over the weekend. I ordered the Spicy Chicken and the Dry Pot Cauliflower, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The Spicy Chickenwas a standout—boneless, tender, and easy to eat. While I would have loved a bit more crispiness, the flavor was incredible: spicy, savory, and perfectly balanced. The Dry Pot Cauliflower was tasty, packed with bold flavors that paired so well with steamed rice. It’s the kind of meal that keeps you going back for more! The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. But it is a bit pricy.

    One of the signature iconic Auckland eats that are cheap and filling! I ordered the pan fried dumplings and I thought it wasn’t as crispy as it needs to be but filling was flavorful. The dumplings were juicy for sure.

    Food is average tasting but is inexpensive. The staff are attentive and quick to response. Fried rice and sweet and sour pork came out very quickly upon ordering but it took a while for the dumplings to come out. Sweet and sour pork was nicely done. The dumplings had thick wrap which made us feel bloated after eating. Over all, considering the price we paid for, it was good.
