   Hi everyone. I’ve been in Auckland from 16 to 21’th of December 2025. Accidentally l lost an inlay in one of my teeth just before the arriving to New Zealand, actually in the airport just two hours before my flight. Yeah, I was "very lucky" maybe because I’m a dentist myself :). Immediately after this "happy event" my tooth began to torture me with sharp edges of the cavity. So when we arrived I realised that I have no choice but to find someone in New Zealand who would fix my tooth. This time fortune smiled upon me, as I was able to find Doctor Alex Mechkov! I’ve got an appointment and when the doctor made an examination he said that there is a crack in the tooth with no hope to restore the damage and it must be extracted. It was no pleasant news because the tooth was the wisdom tooth on the lower jaw with endodontically treated twisted roots. Beeing a dentist myself I realised, that it promised me an unpleasant experience both during the procedure and 3 or more days after because of swollen cheek, pain, and inability to eat normal food. Happy holidays:)! But my concerns proved unjustified. Anesthesia was perfect, extraction took no more than 30 minutes, doctor made two stitches after the extraction, gave me recommendations and prescribed an antibiotic and NSAID. It only hurt a little bit after anesthesia worn off. After that there was no swollen cheek, no pain, may be just a little. I was able to eat normal food two days after, so thank you so much Doctor Alex for your professional skills, you’ve saved my holidays:)! I recommend to visit wonderful and comfortable Marina Dentists Pine Harbour clinic. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

   I spent a long time looking for a specialist I could truly trust with my daughter’s treatment. Of course, I had read plenty of horror stories online about what can happen if something goes wrong with Invisalign. I even went to consultations with three different specialists — yes, I’m that picky. From the first meeting, Tanya immediately earned my trust. Even though it’s quite a drive from where I live on the North Shore, my child’s health isn’t something I’m willing to risk with just anyone. The consultation was on a completely different level — everything was explained clearly and professionally. Tanya also managed to make it understandable and motivating for Kate, which is so important for teenagers when an experienced adult explains not just what will happen, but why. It’s now been over six months, and the progress is very noticeable. If you’re not sure who to trust with your child’s orthodontic care, Tanya Hillyard is exactly the person you’re looking for. Highly recommended.

   My father had a denture made and fillings on 2 teeth, all completed in just two visits. The denture fit perfectly right away, like it had always been there. Thank you! The clinic is very conveniently located and fully accessible for a wheelchair. What I also really appreciate is that the team sends me updates about how each of my father’s appointments went, as well as reminders for upcoming check-ups. This makes it so much easier for me to take care of him.

   Thank you to the great team at Marina Dentists. I had broken one of my molars on the Saturday morning and was able to phone them and get a prompt appointment on the Monday . Being someone who does not like going to the dentist I was put at ease as soon as I walked in the door by all the staff who are all very friendly. Dr Alex did and amazing job of my pre crown reassuring me as he went along making me feel as comfortable as possible. The next day I received a text message asking how I was feeling after my procedure and I welcomed this thoughtful follow up process. Thank you for caring.

   I needed to see a dentist urgently after an accident. The team at Marina Dentists could not have been kinder, more helpful or more expert. Dr Mechkov saw me, although he was busy, and carried out a procedure which a less experienced dentist might not have been able to do. I was so appreciative of the experiened & expert care I received. Beachlands is fortunate to have such an excellent dental practice in the area.

   While on holiday I had a toothache which quickly developed into needing otc pain meds. Marina Dentists were able to give me an appointment the next day when contacted. After root canal treatment my tooth is pain free. I am very pleased with the prompt professional care I received.

   Found this dental clinic online. My mother had her first appointment here last month. Nothing but positives. Clinic was in a very nice place Pine Harbour Marina. The receptionist Maria is probably the nicest and most efficient receptionist I've seen. I was putting off vital dental treatment for a while because of childhood psychological trauma. Thank you to the amazing dental professionals who created such an incredible service. You are definitely improving the lives of so many. Will recommend to everyone.
