   Amazing cuts, chill vibe—but one serious concern I’ve been searching for a barber shop like this in Auckland for so long. The haircuts are incredibly detailed and precise, the pricing is fair (a rarity here!), and the atmosphere is relaxed—no forced small talk, which is perfect for introverts or anyone who just wants a quiet, quality cut. I also love how they’ve kept things old-school and practical, avoiding the overpriced "gourmet barber" trend. Everything about this place made me want to become a regular. However, I have one major concern that I hope the shop can clarify or address. During my visit, it seemed like the barber initially used a razor on me that hadn’t been changed from a previous client. The razor wasn’t working well, and he later switched to a brand-new one. I may be mistaken—I couldn’t see everything clearly—but if my impression was correct, this is a serious hygiene issue that needs immediate attention. Proper sanitation is non-negotiable, especially with tools like razors. Aside from this, my experience was fantastic, and I’d love to keep coming back—but only if I can be 100% confident in the hygiene practices. Hopefully, this was just a misunderstanding, and the team can reassure customers that all tools are sanitized or replaced between clients.

   Rocked up around 3 pm on a weekday this week for a last-minute haircut before a baptism I had later on that night. Wait wasn't that long. Very happy with the haircut Nic the barber done for me. Haven't looked this fresh in ages! Highly recommended Nic at the village barbers. If your ever in the area and looking for a fresh line up, come through an hit him up.
