   Special combo and roast pork roll. Ate this almost every day for years through the early 2000s when we were running an underground brewery on Garnet Rd. Ordered the same thing every day. The guys behind the counter never said “Hey how you doing? The usual?” Just an inscrutable oriental face looking back at you. Like the silent guardian to a temple of good value roast meats. Special combo is three pieces of fried chicken and some fried potatoes for less than 10bucks. It’s moneys worth.

   Absolutely the worst Roast Chicken meal I have ever had, and I buy them all over nz when travelling, potatoes kumara pumpkin were almost raw and cut to tiny tiny pieces, total toilet shop and owner should close it immediately and ask GORDON RAMSEY For HELP HELP HELP!! CLOSE THE SHOP BOY NOW.

   Worst roast shop and takeaway I’ve ever had! Seriously don’t eat here. The beef and lamb was odd, beef tasted like liver and lamb tasted like a mineral. I’ve never had anything like it. Peas were soggy and floury. The potatoes were rubbish, pumpkin and kumera was firm in the middle and seemed like they had been steamed. The gravy was like salty water.

   New owners, i have been twice in the last 2 months both times they forget to add apple sauce to the roast meal. I asked to put gravey on the bottom of the container before placing food in, they look at you weird, i just like it this way really simple request to ask. The meat was dry and pumpkin cold, not good like it use to be.

   I was craving a roast at breakfast time, so I visited these guys. Meat and veges were lovely. I couldn't taste the gravey. A little expensive but overall I did enjoy the meal. It didn't just fill a hole.

   Lunch time for a hot pork filled roll. No salad available for the roll, stale bread but nice pork and token crackle. Service: no smiles or even a greeting and abrupt at every point. I won’t go back and wouldn’t advise others to spend their hard earned there. If you want my money at least be pleasant to me.
