   Chicken Chow Mein - Chicken pieces were thick and dry and barely had any noodles which I find is the best part. This dish was Literally all vegetables, nothing else. Hot Chips - old oil, lacked crisp even though chips arrived hot.

   Very disappointed!! Especially when you spend $120 for bland & absolutely tasteless food. We ordered the Fish Thai green curry, chicken fried rice, steak chow mein, wonton soup, chips, nuggets, deep fried wontons & home made dumplings. Fish Thai green curry: Very bland tasting Thai dish, no seasoning at all & barely any fish! Probably only had 4 pieces total which were tiny & the rest was filled with plain boiled rice & loads of vegetables. Chicken fried rice: Chicken was dry & overall a very bland dish. Just tasted like plain boiled rice, no soy sauce or love whatsoever. Steak chow mein: Again a very underwhelming dish, little to no steak, packed with veggies & the sauce was very bland. Wonton soup: I wouldn’t even call it a soup, it was just plain old hot water with wontons, broccoli & meat floating in it. Most tasteless wonton soup I’ve ever tried. Had to add my own fresh chilli & sauces to give it some life. Chips: Old chips, tasted like they had been reheated or fried again as they were stale & very oily. Only pleasant items were the deep fried wontons, generous meat filling & crispy. Also the homemade dumplings were delicious & surprisingly had seasoning. To the reviews saying this is the best or one of the best Chinese spots in Auckland have no tastebuds. An absolute waste of money & calories lol

   HAPPY TAKEAWAYS,,, I COULD OF BEEN ABIT MORE HAPPIER ,,, BUT ANYWAYS HERES MY THOUGHTS AND OF COURSE MY HONEST OPINION ON TODAY'S COMBINATION MEAT FRIED RICE , HMMMM , UNFORTUNATELY IT LACKED IN FLAVOR WHICH GAVE IT A BLAND AND PLAIN TASTE , ANOTHER SPOON OF S/ONION & MEATS & A LIGHT SAUCE OF SOME KIND WOULD OF ABSOLUTELY TURNED THAT DISH INTO A 5 STAR COMBO BOMB IN MY BOOKS , NEVER THE LESS IM STILL INTERESTED IN CHECKING OUT YOUR THAI GREEN CURRY AND NOODLE DISHES IN WHICH I'LL BE LOOKING FOR BOTH DEPTH & FLAVOR ASWELL AS TASTE & TEXTURE , ALRIGHTY I'LL LEAVE IT THERE AND SEE YOU FELLAS IN THE NEAR FUTURE ,,,, 4 / 10

   Let me tell you about this restaurant I visited recently. Brace yourself for a wild ride of disappointment! Not only did they have the audacity to refuse credit cards, but they also had the nerve to serve their mediocre food only for take-away. Talk about a double whammy! Now, let's get real about the food. It was nothing to write home about. Sure, it was cheap, but it tasted like they cut corners everywhere. The flavors were bland and lacked any excitement. It's like they were trying to make the cheapest meal possible without considering the actual taste. Don't expect any culinary masterpieces here, folks. And let's not forget about their brilliant decision to only offer take-away. How convenient! If you want to enjoy their lackluster dishes, you'll have to take it home or find a nearby park bench. Who needs a proper dining experience, right? They clearly don't care about their customers' comfort or the ambiance of their restaurant. Oh, and did I mention the joy of paying in cash? Yes, that's right, they don't accept credit cards. They must think it's still the Stone Age or something. Who carries around wads of cash these days? It's inconvenient and just shows their outdated mentality. It's like they're actively trying to make your dining experience as inconvenient as possible. In conclusion, this restaurant is a prime example of how to disappoint customers on every level. From their refusal to accept credit cards to their lackluster take-away food, they manage to check all the boxes for a terrible dining experience. Don't waste your time or money here. There are far better options out there where you can actually enjoy a decent meal without feeling like you're being taken advantage of. Steer clear of this disaster of a restaurant.

   I ordered fish and chips here cause the other place from across the street was close (after 8 pm). I am not an expert on fish and chips but I liked them, and they made them in the moment. I paid $7.5 and it was enough food for one person, a good piece of fish and a lot of chips!

   Travel from Blockhouse Bay to have their delicious food My son always has their son ton soup My daughter always has their hotbox it is absolutely devine I always order their sea dogs yummy . I highly recommend this to all our family,relatives and friends. Gosh try their Sweet and Sour pork it's like no other melts in your mouth and generous portions. Their service is quick and most of all friendly . Freshest food from this takeaway. Thank you Happy Days for satisfying my Samoan appetite .

   TASTIEST HEALTHY NOODLES IN AUCKLAND. I discovered Happy in 2015 and have been a loyal customer since. My favorite dish is the Hong Kong style Soft Noodles with Chicken. It's full of flavor, yet there's barely any sign of oil. The chicken is actual chicken breast unlike most other places and it comes in big quantity; more than enough for someone who cares about his protein intake like me. It also comes packed with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and onions cooked to the right point: not too soft, no too hard. Strongly recommended! Their other dishes also reflect quality and freshness and they are all relatively cheap. Last but not least, their service is superb; always fast and attentive. Really, I cannot think about a single downside of this place. I just love it.
