   I had such a fantastic experience at Maru Sushi! The udon soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavor, while the salmon avocado was fresh, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. The staff were superb—friendly, attentive, and even greeted me on Father’s Day, which made it extra special. It was so good we had to come back and bring the whole family with us. The kids really love it here too, which says a lot. A wonderful spot that we’ll definitely keep returning to!

   We arrived at 2.30pm and the cabinets were rather bare, which was a tad disappointing as we travelled there specifically to pick up some sushi having seen the photos on Google, and arrived an hour and a half before closing (4pm). They do make sushi to order, but we weren’t keen for a long wait. I understand the ‘lunch economy’ set up - but they don’t compensate by offering discounts for having to eat the left overs. Other places combine the pieces they need to sell into packs and offer generous discounts (like Sushi World in East Tāmaki - where we drove to next).

   Run by a friendly family of Koreans, they serve a great range of delicious Japanese lunch cuisine. Slightly expensive, but their donburis are very well made; otherwise a buffet range of sushi can be selected in-store. Would recommend!

   Went here because Wolfy’s next door was packed, had the katsu lunch box and the miso ramen. Delicious! The lunch box was huge, everything was fresh and delicious. Fast and friendly service
