The first time we’ve been to Sugar at Chelsea Bay and it certainly won’t be our last. Beautiful dog friendly cafe with amazing staff and food. The raspberry lamington is a must-try and the bacon eggs benny was the favorite of breakfast that we shared. Highly recommend to all, we will be back soon. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales

Very, very, very average. I’ve been here a few times now and the food keeps getting worse each time I go back. This time I had the Korean Chicken Burger and the Raspberry Lammington. The crispy Korean chicken burger was two pre-cooked/reheated chicken strips that were lukewarm, dry and not crispy. The Korean sauce was weak and wasn’t spicy. The chopped coleslaw and mayo dominated the burger. The raspberry Lammington was dry and over two days old. Strike three Sugar. I’m not coming back.

As part of the Chelsea sugar factory the setting is great, with nice walks along the beach and a playground. However, the interior is sparse and the seats are uncomfortable. There weren’t enough wait staff and service was slow. The food is average but the prices are far too high for small portions, especially the meatball noodles featuring 3 small meatballs for $29! Not much variety with the menu selection. The cabinet food on the other hand is excellent. Although the lamingtons are $9.50 they are large and really tasty, the highlight of our meal.

Very accommodating service! We were initially seated indoors at a table with the sun shining directly on us, and even though it was a busy public holiday, the staff were so helpful and moved us to a more comfortable spot. The food and the cabinet desserts were pretty good, nothing too fancy. There’s also lovely outdoor area and a walking track nearby, which made for a pleasant way to wrap up lunch. Overall, an enjoyable day.

Delicious food, lovely vibe and friendly staff. There's an impressive range of cabinet "sweet treats" which we were too full to try, after our brunches. We'll definitely go back for coffee and cake!

Have a very happy birthday lunch with my son's family during this winter time, cold outside but feeling so good as setting besides the big window with view and lights, delicious food and warm service.

Great location and kid friendly. Coffee and tea were as they need to be. The food was below par. Looked nice and flash on arrival, but tasted mediocre at best. Had the omelette where the chorizo was spungy and lacked flavor, with the omelette edges burnt. Wife ordered the waffles and they were yuck, doughy with flour like mouth feels, the saving grace being the store bought berry mascapone in it.

Great atmosphere at this place. The lady at the reception was very nice. Tables are usually full so booking is recommended. Views around this place is good. Would recommend a tour too. Cabinet food has such a variety. We had lunch and cane home with desserts. Even though the place was pretty packed, service was fast.
