The building itself needed a bit of renovation. Location is great, love the high ceiling and its vintage style. Our building manager Lee Hoang is very hospitable, professional and always give out quick responses to our requests. Bond Refund process was also super fast as well. 4 stars for the place but 5 stars for Lee, keep it up.
There's trash in the hallways. not sure whether it's management not cleaning up, or whether the tenants being ill behaved. the building itself is gorgeous. but it's a real shame it's not getting the love it deserves.
Staying here for the past 10 months. It's one of the best places to be with! You'll never get over the classic ceilings, wooden carvings and the city views. Currently the Aotea Station is being constructed next to this building. When the Aotea stations opens here by 2023, this building will probably be one of the best places to live in, at Auckland!
The manager is unprofessional. I went for apartment viewing there after booking for viewing and waited for manager in office for around 20 minutes. But when I went to apartment's entrance door then the manager apologized to show the apartment by saying it is already booked. The manager wasted my time and is not good. So, recommend not to go there.
Hotel is old fashioned but nice old building. It is quite pricey and staff could be a little more helpful. Guest services such as mail are a little hit and miss. Bathrooms badly need renovation.
The room was nice with a very comfortable bed. Location was excellent as we were going to a show at the Civic. Negative: No valet parking. We ended up parking a distance from the hotel and when we booked in were given a tatty photocopied handrawn map and expected to navigate our way to a small service alley. Not Good!!
