I tried the biryani today and it was absolutely delicious! The service was quick. Definitely one of the best biryanis I’ve had recently — highly recommended!
It was just a sudden stop at liquor shop on friday afternoon, they had their lunch specials $10 briyani. I thought of trying it, Sayeed recommended chicken briyani. It was full of aroma, every bite had taste, crispy onions made my lunch osm. Week after i bought briyani again with seekh kebab. Best seekh kebab in town.

The taste of Biryani is the best and quantity is very good and the best thing is the price which is very cheap . Customer service is always amazing!
Chicken Briyani and some other prices are changed, it increased by $1 but it did not update in online menu. I bought Briyani was $15 but I paid on counter for $16 with surcharge. And the food is not great taste, it full of oil. I suggest management to update the price online for customer not to get disappointed.

Firstly, the establishment failed to inform me about additional charges for the gravy that accompanies their biryani. It is common practice for restaurants to include condiments and accompaniments with their main dishes, such as biryani. However, to my surprise, I was billed separately for the gravy, which I was not informed about beforehand. This lack of transparency left a sour taste in my mouth and made me question the restaurant's integrity. Furthermore, the poor customer service I encountered added to my overall dissatisfaction. Instead of apologizing or attempting to rectify the situation when I raised my concern, the staff seemed indifferent and unresponsive. Their lack of attentiveness towards customers' needs and concerns was disheartening, to say the least. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when a mistake has been made on the restaurant's part. Considering my experience at Akbar Darbar, I must admit that I will not be returning to this establishment. The combination of hidden charges and the lackluster customer service has left me with a negative impression. It is essential for any restaurant to be transparent about their pricing and to prioritize their customers' satisfaction. Unfortunately, Akbar Darbar fell short in both these aspects. As a frequent diner, I believe it is crucial to share my experience with others to ensure they are aware of the hidden charges and the indifferent customer service at Akbar Darbar. If you are looking for a dining experience that offers transparent pricing and excellent service, I would recommend exploring other options in the area. Overall, my visit to Akbar Darbar in Mount Roskill was marred by hidden charges and poor customer service. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving these aspects to provide a better experience for future customers.
This is the first time I have been to this place as I was looking for a different place to eat biryani from. This review is only based on my order of a Family pack Lamb Biryani. The quantity and quality were amazing. The taste is typical Hyderabad style biryani. I have tried biryani from many other places and rate this high. Thank you
