Few minutes drive from central auckland. Nice place to cool down during summer especially for kids. Parking is fine.

French Bay is a very quiet and lovely beach in Auckland. My husband and I went there on 19/10/2023. We had a relaxing stroll there and enjoyed the magnificent views near French Bay Yacht Club. We highly recommend you to visit there if you live near there or drive past there for a walk.
It's really nice,calm atmosphere even near the yatch club. Alot of shells so bring your water shoes.

A lovely beach, just check the safe swim list before you visit. Great for families, picnics etc.
Lovely family oriented beach, trees to get shade under, sandy/Shelly beach which is very nice for a dip when the tide is in. Just remember to check the tides before going as the low tide will mean no easy access to the water.
I love this little bay. Its never the same, very tidal but stunning. there is a swing in the tree to sit on and enjoy the view. Amzing boat club that can be rented for a function and a great boat ramp , easy to use. There is not alot of parking but I like it that way. worth a look
