What a rip-off! These people have no compunction about taking full advantage of their location. Only one item suitable for a vegetarian, and that was just corn fritters for an exorbitant $18.90. No wonder the place was almost empty at 1pm.
I recently visited Jamaica Blue at Greenlane Hospital, and honestly, it was a letdown. I ordered a bowl of fries and a coffee while waiting for an appointment, thinking it would be a decent snack. The fries cost $10, which already felt overpriced, but what I got was even more disappointing — a small portion of limp, pale fries that looked like they’d been air fried and forgotten. No crunch, no seasoning, and definitely not worth the price. The coffee wasn’t much better. It was average at best — drinkable, but flat and forgettable. For a café that positions itself as premium, I expected at least a decent cup of coffee, especially for the price. There’s clearly more focus on looking the part than delivering quality food or drink. I get that it’s located inside a hospital and options are limited, but that shouldn’t mean cutting corners. If you’re going to charge premium prices, at least serve food that feels fresh and made with care. Unless you’re really stuck for choices, I’d suggest skipping this spot and bringing your own coffee and snack.
Spammer Asian lady charged me $27 for two boiled eggs and one avocado. It was a rush for me to have a quick breakfast. Beware guys these people are con artists. See my $27 plate. Don’t come here
Nice cafe located inside the Greenlane clinic centre, ground floor, Building 4. It’s a convenient spot to sit down and get a cuppa before, during or after your visit to the hospital.
The worst - at a hospital you would expect options that support people which food allergies. At Auckland hospital there are many Gluten free options in the cabinet (muffins etc) safe for people with celiacs disease. Jamaica blue at greenlane hospital only supporting those with a normal diet. I am pregnant and was looking for something to eat and extremely disappointed that there were no GF options available. This needs to change, unacceptable for a public hospital.
Fresh assortment of delicious, mouth watering sandwiches & ready to go hot meals available. Love their "Toasted Chicken paninis". All staff are extremely vivacious & approachable. Excellent customer services, overall. Only downside is that, all items are highly exorbitant (overpriced) but quality food though. I highly recommend Jamaica Blue Cafe....
The lady at the counter didn’t not seem friendly, just busy working the queue without a smile. So I Was not impressed paying $8.90 for Thai Chicken salad and only receiving approx 3 pieces of chicken. To their defence they added more chicken when I made my son take the plate back. Salad needed just a tad more dressing / or could have been on the side as the noodles soaked it all up after it brought out the second time. Cafe has nice outdoor seating which is great for summer Probably won’t eat there again if I don’t have too Probably just order a take out coffee next time

Good cafe and eatery bang at the entrance of building 4 of Greenlane Hospital/ Clinics. Adequate healthy vegetarian and vegan options. Enough sitting and quick service unless there is crowd. all day menu is very good.
