Really delicious and fresh food. Service was lovely and was fast to get our food. Generous portion size too. Will definitely be returning.
Ordered Malaysian Chicken Rice and Fish Fillet Noodle Soup for takeaway and they are both not authentic ones. The chicken on the chicken rice was bland, still tough and looked like it wasnt properly cooked. The soup is just mediocre too.
The Sarawak kolo mee was spot on like home. Freshly made noodle in their kitchen. Perfect to my taste and the best in Auckland. Well done! Will be back for more.
Ordered via Uber eats. The duck wasn’t crispy at all, felt gluggy and soggy whilst eating and had to trash it after the first bite, clearly the fat wasn’t rendered to the correct point before tossing it in a sauce. I’m an ardent Tom yum lover, it’s my favourite soup and this one was clearly made off a paste from a bottle as I’ve used one before and there’s a massive difference in taste when you do it properly/from scratch vs bottled convenience stuff. Had only two pieces of broccoli as i was expecting a variety of basic veg along with seafood. The spring rolls were REALLY tiny with a mushy filling and a side of sweet chilli off a bottle. It’s very clear that this place uses convenience products and finishes the dishes which is quite sad for a restaurant that has such amazing reviews which clearly indicates the lack of knowledge of customers who have no idea about authentic flavours or food which reflects on the way it’s made by the restaurant ie easy way out/using convenience products.
Caught this restaurant out of the corner of my eye. It's tucked away but it is amazing. Staff are freindly and the atmosphere is comfortable. The tables are not jam packed together. A definite must order is the butter prawns. They were truly wonderful! (Not skimpy on the portion size either) I would add photos but it was gone far too quickly! (My family was feral for it)
So glad you have re-opened! Your vege currypuffs are the only authentic ones I have had outside Malaysia. Pastry light & flaky, filling yummy with the perfect slight chilly bite. Hope to get these regularly!
I came here with my family and we had a lovely dining experience. The food was yum, served in big portions, and the staff were friendly and passionate about their work.
Everything was delicious! We ordered the tofu with peanut sauce, Tom yum noodle soup, sambal eggplant and spicy chicken. The sambal eggplants were definitely a highlight!
