Not impressed. Make sure you confirm with them their opening hours as they don't update online sources often enough. I wouldn't recommend them if you're on a low income, or on any long term medication. Keep an eye out for their extra fees. Make sure you get your 15 minutes!

I've never even seen my Dr in the three years or so I've been allocated to her. Always a fill-in. My prescriptions are often messed up, either sent to the wrong pharmacy or not sent to the pharmacy at all, causing me to take multiple trips out and wait on hold back to Mahara to sort it all out. I once had to go to the surgery only to have a video conference with a Dr who was remote - I mean, I could have done that remotely also. I now use CareHQ whenever humanely possible to avoid this place. I could go on and on. I don't blame the staff, they are understaffed and overworked and the shareholders are putting profit before service. Such a shame, this place used to be great.

Have to many bad experiences to share about this place. Dr Anne refusing to prescribe pamol to my sick 2 year old, another doctor telling me my baby (who had RSV at the time) wouldn't get better as he wasn't breast fed, multiple doctors prescribing my 2 year old with medication not suitable for small children and then being told by the nurse that he shouldnt be using that after id used it on him for months, getting charged $67 for a 1min phone call, all the times being told there are no appointments available and to go into the emergency appointment lottery, and can't forget the 1 hour wait times almost evrrytime you go in for your 15min appointment that is always rushed. Ah such good times, hopefully can find a new place as this place is terrible.

I would've given this place zero stars if I could if it wasn't for the fact my former doctor (Dr Renalds) was really nice, as were the receptionists. I was a patient at Mahara health for about two years but left very disappointed after a young new nurse was playing God with my medication and refused to issue a new three monthly prescription with no more than 5 days out from my current meds running out. I complained to the practice manager who backed the nurse with nonsensical and stupid excuses. This was never an issue before to have a new prescription re issued three weeks before my current meds ran out.. I can't risk being without my medication due to not being able to see the doctor or the nurse playing God, so I went to a more reliable doctor's practice with better customer service and medical care. This was completely unnecessary and without any valid reason to not issue another script to ensure I had enough supplies to prevent running out. Its not like I was snorting my medication for a buzz! Crazy.

Twice we have been blown off and refused an appointment when my 2 yr old was sick, both times ended up waiting at Team Medical, where at least we get seen and treated properly.

On three separate occasions I have had to wait from three quarters of an hour to 1 hour in the waiting room full stop this is after making appointment for a specific time. I don't mind waiting 10 minutes or 15 minutes or even 20 minutes but three quarters of an hour is not acceptable for any practise. Not only that, I had to wait 3 weeks to get the appointment in the first place. Very unhappy client

Have always felt very looked after here, no matter which Doctor I've seen. Big ups to Dr Solomon this week sorting out my special authority, thought it would take weeks and she had it done in 24 hours. Saves a lot of stress knowing I can rely on them to do what they say they are going to.

Friendly staff, good doctors. Usually there's a week wait for an appointment. No issues with the urgent/emergency care I've received myself, they always manage to fit me in, and wait times are reasonable, etc. There were issues with young children/babies being seen for urgent/emergency care. However, the practice manager called me when I complained, after an incident with my daughter, and said that they will be changing their process on how they triage patients going forward. Since then there have been no issues.
