Not well signposted. Rooms booked and confirmed were not available on arrival, and staff showed no interest in fixing the situation. No lifts, but expected old, disabled people to climb stairs. Room was filthy, bathroom sink was filthy with bodily excretions. **Staff quibbled about giving a refund, even though the room offered was not the one booked, and no other was offered** The whole motel, upstairs, downstairs and even in the carpark, STUNK of curry - totally overpowering and unacceptable. Staff said they had permanent residents who cooked in their rooms. Pretty sure this is not legal!! IF WE COULD GIVE THIS MINUS STARS WE WOULD. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED

This hotel does not have lift, so you might have to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Rooms were generally and neat. Location was rather near the main street, rather convenient

Motel looks like a prison. Room is flirty. Showers remind you of the hospital. Blankets have spot stains. TV plays up. When I asked for a milk they gave me a packet of milk powder LOL Definitely won't be coming back. Only good thing is location, your in the middle of everything.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with booking accommodation. I had difficulty paying for my room that I booked weeks in advance due to a fault on the Agoda website. I called the lodge every day trying to make manual payment and ensure my booking stood (which they assured me would be the case). I was then notified at 9pm the night before I was due to arrive for my stay that actually they have given my room to someone else, despite assuring me on multiple occasions that this would not happen. When they realised they had messed up they then continuously hung up half way through phone calls trying to sort it out. It caused so much stress and worry and meant that I had to pay twice as much elsewhere when I finally found somewhere available. Absolutely appalling service. Would not recommend to anyone.

Really enjoyed this place. Lovely staff, very clean. Felt like a hotel but with hostel amenities as well like laundry and a big shared kitchen. Surrounding neighborhood is a vibrant South Asian community of spice shops, dress shops, and jewelers. Countdown (large chain grocery store), and Kmart are one block away in an indoor mall with lots of shops and food. Good home base to explore Auckland from.

Was okay for the price small room, smelt like bleach which gave me a headache. Bed was okay wasn't that comfy but alright for one night, both me and my friend woke up with bites on our feet the next day. Vertical blinds were okay but could definitely do with some blockout curtains as the Vertical blinds don't blockout any light what so ever. Pictures on website are very deceiving the room looked nothing like the photos

Husband and I went to stay there and we were there for all of an hour or so before deciding to pack up and leave. We looked at the mattress as there was some kind of residue on the bed and it looked like there was blood stains all over the mattress. There was also bags and bag of rubbish in the halls when we went to check in. We asked for a refund but they declined as we had used the bathroom and thus voided our ability for a refund. Price is cheap but was not sanitary.
