   Taking them to legal action. He requested $1000 before starting any further discussion. I said to him that if I pay him $1000 and then don't like his design then what? He told me not to worry as "it will be done within the price quoted." Unfortunately, my wife transferred the funds (before telling me) as she was keen to get things started due to visitors' coming later that year and therefore, other renovations we had to get done. I gave him my design which had a little 45-degree (or so) angle on the end of the bench top to avoid sticking out too much and blocking the entrance to the dining area. Also, to enclose the kitchen entrance area a bit. Then he gave me a generic design (done in 5 mins for them as the rest of the outline was the same as mine), which I did not like, and suggested a small alteration on the end of the benchtop, which I was then told would cost more. This was exactly why I did not want to pay the $1000 without any proper acknowledgment of exactly what I wanted. This was annoying as he insisted that his design is the best for the kitchen and I knew better that it is not due to the large open entrance, which was fully visible from the lounge. He then delayed this for ages and in October I requested that they come and start something as we were having visitors in December and he said ok, we will start within 6 weeks and he will confirm the date, and then again nothing from them. Due to time constraints, I had to hire another contractor to do the kitchen with the design I wanted and better options. No contract was ever signed and no receipt of the $1000. We had no advice on other costs like plumbing and electrician, which we had to find out ourselves. I give a ZERO to this company. Legal action is pending as they are not even responding to the emails regarding the refund. Kamaljit the owner was the person I dealt with. I will post more updates as this progresses.

   Very unhappy with the service.Hired a trailer ,went from Hamilton specially to Collect a kitchenette that I ordered thru TradeMe account and was shocked to see the finished product. Glue marked on the edges which couldn’t be clean properly as the shop guy tried to cleaned it . It was dirty and drawers were not even aligned. It totally looked like it is sitting there for ages.It was a shop soiled unit that the guy was trying to sell as brand new .Spoke to the owner over the phone who was hardly interested to listen to the problem .What a waste of time and money ... pathetic service and product.
