Excellent friendly and fast service! The new online application system is great and the passport drop off process was quick and easy :) Be sure to expect and plan for a queue and wait time as it's always busy. Find parking in the side streets as there are limited spaces in front of the Consulate and a strict towing policy for reserved spots.

Smooth process, if you know how it works. To apply for a visa, you now do it online via their website, then book an appointment to drop off paperwork and passport for processing once they have done the initial approval. Arrive early in the morning and line up, there are a couple parks next to the office but ideally park on a side street to avoid a ticket/tow. To collect in the afternoon is straightforward, provide your paperwork and wait to collect and pay.

The worst experience so far. People are queuing at the doorsteps outside the main gate to be questioned and checked by two officials before they are allowed to enter into the room. It makes people feel unwelcomed and unpleasant. The visa application process at their website is not clear and doesn't list all the documents required. We prepared the documents based on the list on their website, but the lady told us there have to be other documents which are not in the list. It's waste of time. Recommend the officials visit the Japanese visa application website which is far more clear and much better structured process. If there is ZERO star rating, I would go for it.

Coming since three days and find it closed. No response is provided even if you call them or email them multiple times . Never seen attitude of any office like this in my life

Nice and easy place to get all your visa and doc done. There is about 12 parking space provided by the visa office and if everyone reads the signs both outside in Chinese and in plain English then you would not get their car clamped (there is a driver outside entire time to clamp your car as he drives around especially during peak hours) Come early as most people come way before opening hours. All the info is posted online for all visa/cert requirements so best to see it all online rather than coming into just ask questions. Bring all your original docs just In case as itβs is mostly needed and best to photocopy your originals if not there is a photocopier for 50c per copy. Emailing them they respond within 24 hours. In general I think most of the staff there are professional. The only negative thing is their attitude could be a bit better and nicer.

It's not a good experience in applying the China visa. Parking is a big problem, they have only 10 parking available. If you parked on the WRONG site, you'll be clamp 100%.I parked opposite the main road in the residential area with at least 120 minutes. I was applying for the tourist visa for my daughter. I have well prepared the ticket, the booking of the hotel, the birth certificate, the passport, the photo and a invitation letter from a friend in China. The lady who handled my case asked 'the copy of your friend ID ?' 'First time apply? ' 'Dont you know that? ' I have to go again next week!!!
