Just wanna give a shout out to Ati and Shellie for fixing my hair recently! I walked in unhappy with a previous salon’s balayage, and these two stylists were so helpful and ended up fixing my uneven and greenish brown highlights (yes, green!) into a nice chocolate red brown.. they were so attentive and kind and I cannot recommend them enough!
My request was for honey brown with long layers & face framing. As my hair is quite long, it was quite pricey and took about 5hrs, but staff took the time to discuss my needs and make sure I was getting my moneys worth. Taylah was lovely and such a good chat during the process. She gave me exactly what I had asked for too. Love the results, thanks Taylah!
I had such a great experience at Rodney Wayne Sylvia Park today. I went in feeling nervous because another salon had completely messed up my layers, but Taylah was an absolute lifesaver. She was so calm, fresh, and really took the time to understand what went wrong and what I liked. Before even touching the scissors, she explained the whole process, recommended products, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure we were completely on the same page. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, it shows in the care and attention she gives! Taylah gave me beautiful, soft, face-framing layers that brought my hair back to life, and she also recommended how I can look after it moving forward. Her vibe is so refreshing and calming, it made the whole experience so much better. I 100% recommend visiting Rodney Wayne Sylvia Park and definitely ask for Taylah. You’ll leave feeling (and looking) amazing.

I normally have the BEST experience I would normally spend around $700-800 every 7-8 weeks for my mum and I. Yesterday Fri 26/5 5pm I booked a global colour and finish. Yesterday though, my colour was left in too long, I was told the colour will be left in for 35mins , so I timed it too, my alarm went off and so did the hairdressers one, I was signalled that someone would be with me soon as everyone was busy :) Cool, but 10mins passed and the product was burning my scalp and I interrupted Aloma (who was with another client) to please wash this out as I started to get a headache and I started to panic a wee bit. Thank goodness Aloma took over and washed my hair, I asked for cold water in the end to help relieve the pain. The team was very apologetic and in the end I recovered, and my husband paid $257. Can I please ask that when bookings are done that there are enough staff to look after each and everyone of us paying patrons, this is a luxury for me that I look forward to, but last night fell short.
I've been coming here for a while, and on Saturday I had Aloma for the first time. She did my shampoo, and honestly I could have stayed in that shampoo chair all day. It was by far the best head massage/shampoo I've ever had. She really knows what we all want when we're sitting in that chair. I hope I get her again next time. She also knew all about the hair treatments I was asking about. Hopefully NZ starts to offer them soon.
