I’ve been Acorn cafe for many years. Not everyday but every time I come to airport area. I must pay a visit to here. Owners always polite to customers. Food always well presented. Excellent service with clean and pleasant environment. They have both counter food & menu food to order. Coffee always on spot. I like how they decorated with live plants and calm music background.

I like how the cafe is designed to give a very natural atmosphere with live plants, but have to be mindful that live plants also attract live insects and birds, as we had to shoo off a little birdie while eating inside. We ordered an iced matcha and Moccachino, while the moccachino was okay the iced matcha was a little bit below average probably can do a better job at home. Also the barrister taking my order did not seem to interested in what I actually wanted or my questions but maybe due to the language barrier she could not understand me.

This was the first cafe I visited in NZ and I enjoyed it so much I popped back in en route back to the airport! It's cute, with excellent coffee and huge food portions. They make a lot of their own bakery goods and everything is reasonably priced. Yes they appear a bit short staffed but the staff is lovely!

The food was delicious! The hot chocolate was fluffy and not overly sweet. The Eggs Benedict was seriously good! The friendly lady at the shop was helpful, polite and efficient. Will definitely go again!

Cute little cafe with wide variety of food to choose from. The pies were nice. The staff were friendly. Only issue was lack of staff meant the poor gentleman on the register was also responsible for making the coffees and clearing the tables which meant service was slow and tables were full of dishes. We went on a Sunday during lunch so would have thought they would have more staff on during this peak period

Experience limited to 2 coffees, which were the least good of the cafe coffees we've had for a long time. Zero crema. Tasted like 1 shot. Paper cup too thin to hold until it had cooled significantly. On the plus side - service was quick.

Easily the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Silly us for thinking a cafe in a strip mall would be any good. It was bloody awful. If you’re looking for something really yummy. Go elsewhere because this ain’t it.

Great place to have coffee and a meal after shopping. Ordered the omelet with a choice of 3 fillings: ham, mushroom and spinach. Other options available: chicken, cheese, tomato.

Had the big breakfast reasonable prices .Enough food to share with the wife . Enjoyed the breakfast not so much the coffee . Looks like only 2 people working in the cafΓ© so it took a while for the food to come out.

Worst pies, for $6.90. My wife and I each had one. Tasted similar to something you'd find for $1 in the supermarket freezer. Also came straight out of the pie warmer but was luke-warm. Made the mistake of buying a pottle of fruit salad to save for our toddler to eat later. Only to discover the fruit had been treated to keep them looking fresh, it tasted like someone had salted the apple slices. Inedible, had to throw it out. Please avoid this place, dodgy food and poor service. Wouldn't have minded the clashing decore but over priced bad quality food in a cafe is about as bad as you get.
