Bro this is the only place for fish and chips IN THE WHOLE OF PORIRUA. You know it’s the OG real deal when the menu is hand written. Chinese food (combination fried rice is the go) as well. Hardest working people in the bay. There is no dine in. Unless you count standing it front and eating the chips while they are steaming hot. I reckon that counts as dining in aye. Or better yet take it to the beach which is only a few minutes walk. Ok ok last point. The fish and chips comes wrapped in paper still. That’s why it’s the OG. Take that paper, unfold it at the beach or at home on the table and pour the tomato sauce straight on the paper. No plates needed!!
Been coming here since I was little as its less than 5 mins away from my house. Best fish and chips, used to bike down with my cousins and tell the person working we were here for our chips and they knew us. Most reliable with quality and so fast with their food!

Comments from our latest visit. Lovely fresh fish of a really good size. Got heaps of chips in one scoop! Potato fritters were coated in same crispy batter as fish. Lovely friendly owners. Good prices.
I haven't been here for about six months. I only visit because it's open on a Monday. Friendly greeting when you enter. Bought fish & chips for tea. The chips were excellent..large portion and nicely cooked. The fish was ok, batter nicely cooked, but the texture and taste was not the freshest. Just my opinion, but I've been around long enough to know the difference. The frontage for this business is on Te Pene Ave, limited parking available. The public area of this shop is fairly small and it's nearest 'neighbour' is the Titahi Bay Fire Station. I only gave this place 3 stars because of the fish, the size of the shop and, because to me anyway, it looks a little rundown on the inside.
