The host was friendly and very welcoming. The cabin was great, but more detail on cleaning and small repairs would have made it 5 stars
if i could give no star rating i would! checked in, owner was very abrupt and rude. condition of the 1 bedroom unit was beyond POOR! very dirty, holes in the walls, dead bugs in the bedding, smelt musty, rubbish under the beds upstairs, the unit was extremely dusty and i had an asthma attack after only being there for 10mins. checked out as there was no way i would stay there with my children. upon checking out the owner was again very rude and charged me for one night even though i never stayed there. this place looked like a half-way house WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!
Stayed for 32 nights due to lockdown as we had just moved out of our house and were unable to move to new location because of restrictions. Room facilities were okay and room was clean. Rooms could not be serviced due to lockdown, this was understandable. However, even though there was a sign put at the entrance for no visitors, there were so many visitors with cars coming and going at all hours, many with loud music playing, we hardly slept. Complained 3 times to manager who said He couldn’t stop them and there was “nothing he could do and the police wouldn’t come”. Spent 3.5k to be kept awake every night!
The lack of cleanliness in our unit was so bad, we wouldn't even use the shower. As there was no other accommodation in Auckland at short notice that particular weekend, we had to stay, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. This was not simply one day, or one month's neglect, but enough time for mould to be growing, thick, in many areas of the bathroom. Anyone who likes things to be clean, stay away from this motel.
