Staff were useless and didn’t come to check us in for over an hour after calling making us late to an Important event. Was really dirty inside and everything was shit. Felt unsafe and uncomfortable with the neighbours. Please stay here if you want to get very sick.
From reading other reviews, comparing to my experience recently, things have vastly improved. My personal experience with Ranfurly was very pleasant, although the staff weren't immediately at the office (due to staff shortages which was mentioned before we arrived), we still got a friendly service that went well above expectations. The location is perfect for attending events at ASB Showgrounds, as it's within walking distance. Ranfurly Evergreen Motel is a great spot to stay at for a few nights while in Auckland on a budget.
terrible place.... no hot water in shower, frozen tv at times , internet off and on, no rail on wardrobe to hang clothes. Rail on bathroom door was loose and about to come off, curtain next to door would not open, it was permanently closed, we had to ask for internet details they weren't provided, had to ask for dishwash liquid and cloth - no dish scrubber provided even when asked, advertised table and chairs but table was low and chairs were bar stools meaning had to sit on the arm of couch to use laptop on table , room had a double bed and a single bed but only two cups and no drinking glasses, no coffee plunger - but the bed was comfortable and the heat pump worked
After staying 2 nights , customer service could improve. On arrival office unattended, pressed buzzer no one came . Notice on door said phone Management. No communication with Management after checkin. No complimentary milk, was available in fridge. No dishwash liquid, no tea towels available. Sliding door in room accessing bathroom wouldn't stay closed so had to put waste bin behind it for privacy to keep closed. No lounge chairs / couch available for comfort watching TV. Disappointing
Shocking service. Waited 30-40 mins to be let into our room. Had to call multiple times to get through to anyone to actually come down and let us in. 1st Room No working tv no working aircon Room was very unclean. Got moved to second room to A working tv and aircon but another mess was soon to be found. Very little cleaning done here at all. Shower won’t drain previous peoples hair all stuck in drain. Shower pressure very low and doesn’t take long before it’s ankle deap. Complex is very loud and messy lots of rubbish around the place. Other residents blocking stairs and being loud in general. would not recommend to anyone to come stay here. Will not be coming back!
For the price they charge not worth it. Cleanliness it’s not good. Worst part is uncontactable reception service after hours or during the day. Example to get amenities tea, coffee, sugar, milk or bathrooms amenities. very limited amenities provided in rooms. We were 3 of us in two bedroom appartments all amenities provided for two. Including towels I do not recommend this place

Of Manuka rd one tree hill open to the publiceasilly accessible as it's located right of Manuka rd. The prices can vary depending on the customer it would attract , couples family's or a room for the night long term to medium or just overnight stays. Not a high end Htotel/motel but reasonable clean and accomadating if your not fussy about your surroundings.
(Do not stay here )I stay at the Ranfurly motel for a 3 nights and found a empty beer bottle under the couch and the bed duvet were uncleaned i came home after stay there with a itchy rash all over my body went to my gp they said it was bed bug bites along with son and cousin who also got these bites. They also have unsafe stoves and the dishes that are there to use were not clean before we got there we had to wash them before we used them i told the staff about it she told me that the stove was to be fixed and it was a electrical problem with this so then we could not use that. I then was told I was going to get a refund and they went back on there word And saying am not get anything I have complained to the city council about the bed bug bites Iam a solo mother who works so i dont have a lot of money to be spending on going to doctors and to make that we didnt bring bed bugs back with us as they travel back with you in your bags and clothes and stuff. They are not going to even help play for my doctors when i was to thats what they do now getting told a total different thing stay away from this motel do not stay here
An older place and a few minor repairs needed inside (bathroom cupboard broken & light switch crooked), but our unit was very clean and the beds comfortable. Room sleeps 5 but would be too small for 5 people and everyone's luggage. Free parking outside room a bonus for Auckland and handy to Newmarket shops. About 15 min drive to CBD. Shower had good water pressure.
