I called the medical center to request a repeat prescription for my child and was instructed to use the phone line to leave a voice message with my request. I did exactly that and specifically asked for the prescription to be sent to Porirua Chemist Warehouse. Five working days later, I arrived at Chemist Warehouse only to find they hadnβt received the prescription. I then had to wait 30 minutes while they contacted the medical center to sort it out. This experience was frustrating and felt like a complete disregard for my time. Absolutely unacceptable.

Is there a point to leaving a review about a doctor? I didn't think so. And I like my doctor at Johnsonville Medical, even though I've only seen him once. So this isn't about any medical condition or anything like that. Or not getting treatment. It's about the weirdest administration that means that if you require medication or anything like that, choose another doctor. Administrative practices are poor, require you to give the same information multiple times, and the burden is being placed on the doctors and nurses, who never follow up. I saw my doctor for the first time, and got a repeat prescription. Failure point one: my updated prescription wasn't passed over from the previous surgery. Failure point two: when I got my specialist to write to them, the prescription was sent to the pharmacy but it wasn't sent over. Failure point three: unlike literally every other doctor I've seen, when I call to ask about my prescription being sent, reception can't tell me anything. I have to talk to the doctor or the practice nurse. Because failure point four: they didn't have my medication, there's a shortage, so I have to go back and talk to someone at the surgery. Failure point five: they put you through to the practice nurse and there's an an answering machine. You have to explain yourself all over again, this time to a machine. Failure point six: no one responded to me. all messages are being sent through the ManageMyHealth app. Who checks this? Because, failure point seven: ManageMyHealth have ads on your medical app. I've been charged nearly $100. I don't have my medication. It's impossible to get hold of anyone. My access to medication is being monetised by a third party. Yes, I've only had one appointment, and yes, I'm switching doctors.

I recently had an appointment with Nurse Julie and Doctor Ross, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and support I received. Their professionalism, kindness, and patience truly stood out. Their compassionate approach made a huge difference in my experience. If you're looking for a medical team that genuinely cares, I highly recommend them.

I've had a great experience with JMC since moving from Auckland. Compared to my previous experiences, JMC stands out as the best. Appointments are always on time, with no waiting required. The staff is excellent, whether I'm booking online or in person. I'm really pleased with the quality of service they provide.

Started out 7 weeks ago with cough, sore throat, low energy, tight chest. Booked an appointed saw a doctor. 3 weeks later, no improvement, called and was booked in, this time got the βrest, drink hot water with lemon and honey prescriptionβ. Wife also went in to see a doctor - same treatment plan. 3 weeks later no improvement, get seen by a doctor who says its a new infection, still no medication for the ear ache, sore throat, body aches. Get told to βrestβ. Now 7 weeks on, I still have a sore throat and cough as does my wife. Fast approaching $300 worth of doctorβs fees for honey water and lemon treatment plan. No follow-up call given that I have been there 3 times for the same illness - I would expect the doc to actually care whether it is a virus, baterial or something else. Regards Drinker of Hot Water with Honey and Lemon.

I have been there a couple of times so far. Doctors and receptionist are helpful. Yes once I had to wait maybe 15 mins for mmy appointment but I think this kind of delays are normal since they are working with patients and punctuality is hard when it comes to this kind of business. Otherwise for my vaccine appointment I didnβt need to wait at all. thanks to the team.

Sadly after going here for a year or two, I've learnt the bad reviews on here are completely true. Amazing doctors. Abysmal office/admin team. If you are happy to be treated like a second class citizen who owes the admin staff some sort of favour for being there, then this place is for you.
