Beautiful location, lovely rooms. Super close to the city, about 5 minutes by car, but without the noise and traffic. Melissa, the owner, was the most lovely, helpful, compassionate hostess. Highly recommend choosing Sea View Guest House!!!!!!!
Lovely and attentive host Melissa made sure that we had everything that we needed for our one night stay. Property is in a residential area so not much to do super nearby, but an amazing view of Auckland city and well maintained outdoor heated pool and hot tub included.
Great place, nice hosts and pool. A little tight room for 4 people, but manageable, for three persons it was great. Breakfast was simple but good. Surrounding area was peaceful and had nice nature.
We needed a place to stay for a night before flying oversees. I think the price equalled the quality well: room is small for a four people family but good for a one nights sleep. It gad all we needed. Kids loved the pool, which was a great way to be active before the flight. As a family who needed there sleep, i loved reading in the reviews that no late night pool parties have been allowed here. Everything was tidy, the self service breakfast at the room was great on an early morning and Melissa was a great host. Thank you, we might be back next time we are in Auckland!
A quick one night visit. Pleasantly surprised with the lovely welcome, quarters and amenities. Really delightful place. Didn't expect the breakfast that was provided. Beautiful pool and spa, clean and delightful. Thank you Melissa and family for making us so welcome.
If you’re reading all of the reviews on SVGH about Melissa saying how nice they are and how amazing their hospitality is, I can attest to all those reviews and add my two cents: they’re all true. Melissa is a fabulous host, and the easiest person I’ve dealt with. I stayed for one night, and being in a tight spot, had to extend for one more night. The place is a piece of heaven. Very quiet, family friendly with a beautiful view and swimming pool. The room comes with all the needs in the fridge and AC. Very clean, and spotless. Thank you Melissa! Hopefully one day I can come back with my wife/son for a relaxing weekend. Please do look after yourselves.
Not Recommended! The place is not for party. They should put some notes that party is not allowed at the pool or they should inform us ahead of time that we cant do anything at the pool area by 8pm… its like 8pm in the evening and Melissa already knock our door… They knock for 3times But where just conversing and not partying we don't even have musics….My friend who is her birthday book a 3rooms for us to celebrated its obvious that we will have Good time but they ruined it…No Privacy!! The owner lives in the house with children and someone who is their flatmate… They should just not allow to book the room at the pool area if they don't want us their and told us when are we going home??!!! We have paid for our room but the owner wants us to go home!!! The place is not even clean, And we feel that we are not Welcome! Not Recommended! Don't be Deceive at their Pool/Pictures. We choose this place because of the Pool Area and its only nice at the picture and we cant make any noice at their Pool area!!! To Melissa, Please put a Note that this place is not for Family and Friends!!!!
What you can see in the photo that you can enjoy is far beyond from what we can do in person. Not worthy for a small party, can’t enjoy parties in here even inside bedroom, heaps of noise restrictions owners will be knocking on the door. We didn’t even use the pool, owner expect you to be quite even at 8pm cause of the flat mate, upstairs. I won’t be surprise if this comment will be deleted. This place is only for boomer ( no pun intended ) that sleeps early or make any noise.
