   I only removed one star because some of the furniture and other woodwork are in need of repair but the owner, Tom, couldn't have been more welcoming. Super relaxing, everything one could want in a B&B / self-catering and more. As for the location: in a quiet cul-de-sac yet within a stone's throw of the beach, the station, cafes, shops, fish & chips (very good so very popular. be prepared for a 20 minute wait) Plenty of free parking, too. Sadly, we could only stay for 2 nights as builders were due in to do some renovations. Very highly recommended. I must add the range of breakfast foods that included eggs and butter. Last, but not least, among 10 places we stayed, including quality hotels, this was the only one to supply decent toilet paper, the stuff you might buy at home.

   Aquavilla is a taonga in the centre of Plimmerton. We have tried to book here previously but this was the first time we got lucky. Very comfortable, clean, warm and light. Thank you Tom and Tui.

   Excellent stopover. Arrived very late from ferry and unit was lovely and warm. Great breakfast food for morning. Very pleasant young lady to deal with. So impressed that we booked again 10 days later before catching early morning ferry. Once again the unit was spotlessly clean and owners extremely helpful and p,easant. Thank you once again.
