Came here as im new to the area & hoping for some good F&C. Bought the $21 deal, price was the only good thing about it, chips were generous, sausages & fritters were ok, the fish were not good at all & everything had so much salt on it that it just made everything worse than it already was
Silver Bell has been our go to for years for chinese takeaway. Food is always fresh and the lady is always good to us. Only issue was finding an updated menu online. Took a few pics of the menu when I picked my order up.
I've been going to silver Bell since I was a teenager and I'm now 35 years old. The woman who owns the place is one of the most emotionless people I've ever had to deal with in a takeaways. She doesn't smile, she doesn't speak to you, she judges you if the self service is over filled slightly. The food is good which brings me back.
Hey its a takeaway, so we don't go there for the atmosphere. But yummy, really yummy, self serve chines buffet. Freshly made and really good price too. The staff are pleasant. Recommend their Chinese food.
Amazing chips!! Have to be the best chips I’ve had in a long time! We asked to double fry and they were perfectly crispy! Will definitely be coming back!
The owners of this shop need to update their online menu. on pg 6 of 7, I chose the $14. option which shows 3 fish, 3 sausages, $3. chips and 3 potato fritters. They told my adult son who ordered that it no longer included the potato fritters. So $4. of chips were ordered, 3 potato fritters and the balance of the $14.00 option. What arrived home was 3 potato fritters, 3 sausages and chips. No fish at all. Phoned and spoke to an english speaking young lady to ask about the fish. Was left hanging on the phone whilst listening to a man and woman having a very angy sounding conversation for a couple of minutes. Eventually the guy comes on the phone and once again I try to explain about the order for which I was charged $24.60. He then offered to cook 2 pieces of fish to which I replied there should have been 3. After making sure we weren't going to be charged extra for this (no apology from them) my son drove down again to collect the fish which certainly wasn't flash, the chips were okay but have had much better potato fritter and sausages. Either way we were overcharged for what was ordered. This place had been recommended to us. I certainly would not recommend it to anyone.
Ordered Fish n Chips and got only chips as they sell fish separate, fk that had to buy fish separate. Even after that no sauce was given n fish was below average. Chip was good...
