   Woof! Mitre10 is paws-down my favourite hangout. As a pup, it toughened me up… loud bangs, clanging tools, big & little humans everywhere.. I’ve seen it all. Now I stroll through like I own the place: no scares, no tantrums, just tail wagging charm and plenty of ‘aww’ moments wherever I go. Bonus? Dad shops, I supervise, I sniff, I collect snacks… five paws up.. no questions asked.

   My husband and I went into mitre 10 Upper Hutt looking for some wood to fix up our fence a couple of weeks back and we were kindly helped by a bigger gentleman with glasses in the trade area. We had a lovely experience with this guy, didn’t catch his name unfortunately but would definitely recommend finding him if you’re in need of a helping hand.

   I hate the customer service in timber dept, staff were keep talking to themselves and ignoring us and when we asked for the service they just said we don’t do that and didn’t even try to find what we were asking from them, I am pretty sure there were more timber in the same length that we were asking for but we couldn’t find so asked them to help us and they just said no sorry we don’t have without checking. I am a huge fan of mitre 10 and do lots of shopping but timber department ruined my whole day this time which I didn’t expect from mitre 10 staff and when we left, staff get together again and started talking and laughing which gives us vibe that staff is not interested in customer service at all. next time, I will prefer Bunnigs for timber.

   Your typical Mitre10 Mega store. Large range good prices, staff can be hit n miss for service although thats normal for big box retail

   Nice and spacious, plenty of parking but better to go at a later time in the day. Heaps of products. Staff can be a bit touch and go, sometimes you have to go looking for one, and sometimes they just don't have the knowledge you need so off you go to find someone that does know.. one time we had to go through at least three people to find what we needed. Another time we witnessed a lady ignore someone as she was about to finish her shift at her post and didn't want to bother... overall it's a good store though.

   Mitre10 Upper Hutt has all you need in home repair/renovation products, tools/machines, and while you walk about, grab a takeaway coffee at the Columbus Cafe who make a fantastic breakfast/lunch. This is also a pet friendly store,

   Big shout out to Will and Tim in the timber dept. Mitre 10 staff are always fantastic but these two went above and beyond to help me unscrew a stuck water filter container when I couldn't buy a new one. Really appreciate their effort and ingenuity.

   Really impressed with the service provided by the kitchen/laundry department. The Häfele flat pack cupboards and drawer units, and the Elfa shelving system turned our laundry from drab to fab. Now it's an awesome space with marvelleous storage!
