What a great day out learning a new skill! The team at Stackhouse Knives were great and walked our group through all the steps needed to create our very own, just like a bought one (almost!) knife in the beginners class. Lena and Shea are very knowledgeable, and happy to help and guide you through the whole process, and the best part is, you get an actual working utensil that you can use and show off to everyone. Highly recommend getting along to a class, there are some very cool options for classes coming in 2026!

Loved the class and it's something I'll definitely look to do again. I took the intermediate knife making for a full day, and as a total beginner, I ended up with a very nice knife. Lena and Shea were great to chat with and nerd out over metal and crafting stuff.

Wife bought be the intermediate knife class for my birthday, I had a great day, learned so much from Shea and Lena, and I'm super happy with the knife I took home at the end! Will definitely come back to make another knife to add to the set!

My daughter and I had a great time making silver rings in the beginners workshop. Lena and Shea were fantastic teachers and made us feel completely at ease. We are really happy with our rings.

Did the 1 day beginners knife course. Lena, Shea and the team were absolutely awesome. I had no real experience in blacksmithing but they were fun, approachable and really invested in making sure we got to give the whole process a go and came out of it with a beautiful little blade. Really fantastic workshop.

Loved the axe making so much we came back to make knives and it was just as enjoyable. Fantastic team who help guide you through the day while leaving you the freedom to experience and learn yourself. The passion for their craft is evident and their ability to help you develop your own ideas really take the courses to the next level. I highly recommend just booking the course you are thinking about, you won’t regret it.

My partner and I spent the weekend at Stackhouse knives doing their chefs knife/cleaver class. We had an absolute blast, and can't wait to come back and try something else. The tutors were excellent and we both walked out exhausted but with an amazing, unique knife we had made ourselves. Absolutely recommended for a fun and creative weekend.

We did the knife making course last night. It was awesome!! Shea was an awesome instructor, with a contagious passion for his craft. He stayed after the course just to share a lot more knowledge and show us some of the amazing knives he’s been doing. I totally recommend this place and this course!
