Do yourself a favor: walk up Te Ahumairangi Hill, look at the city from above dramatically at sunset, and grab a few quality hambus from here before heading home for a few Brendan Fraser classics. You'll find out quickly that this is indeed the meaning of life.
The fish and chips are pretty tasty! But I think there’s some confusion with the portion sizes — I saw that the prices were the same, but the sizes were different. In some cases, the cheaper one was even bigger! Honestly, I couldn’t figure out what system they’re using. Also, I believe someone working in a restaurant should be friendly and cheerful. But the man serving reminded me more of a military camp than a food place. He did seem nicer with the customers he already knew.
Went here to get Fish and Chips for dinner. I ordered some fish, chips and a hot dog. Everything was cooked perfectly and was not greasy at all. I also really liked how the hot dog came of a stick. Overall I will definitely come back to get fish and chips.
good old fashioned Chinese takeaway with freshly made tasty food. really enjoyed it.
The first time they had great chips but the meal lemon chicken was dry and almost inedible
$8 Tarakihi Fish tasted frozen(for months), so it’s obvious fish isn’t fresh and that is understandable, but our chips were soaked in oil, as if you tried to fry chips but oil from vat wasn’t hot enough. Will go to The one near the shops next time. Spent $30 didn’t touch chips. You can see the oil soaked almost through the paper
I love this place, the hotdogs are really good and the guy that owns it is super friendly
A classic kiwi Chinese takeaway/fish & chips. Judged on their vege burger and chips: 10/10 best chips ever and amazing value. Bonus points for hash brown in burger.
