I stayed here recently on my recent trip to Auckland for winter break. The hotel is in a great location. Close to public transportation and lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Hotel rooms were reasonably priced. Hotel has decent workout gym and a nice indoor pool and sauna. Rooms were also very reasonably priced considering it was the holidays.

The Grand never fails to disappoint, this is our “go” to place for staycation. The place is always spotless and facilities are well maintained. Our kids absolutely love the pool it’s also indoor so it doesn’t matter if it’s raining or during winter. The staff are so friendly and attentive. We’ve stayed here a number of times and we just keep coming back! The location is great, lots of eateries near by too and we feel safe while staying here. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

Stayed at the grand for 5 nights. Had a grand king harbour view room. It was a disappointing for the price we paid ~$500/night - a decent size room but very plain. Anyway - spoke to a lovely lady (Lea) who suggested I talk to reception people. After some backwards and forwards they ended up upgrading us to a suite which was lovely. The staff were very helpful overall. Thanks again Lea for helping to make us feel valued.

Pray that you don't get a noisy neighbor, because staff won't do anything about it. I called and told them a summary of what I heard and told them it was above us, they asked what room number it was.... Which I said I guessed was 100 more than ours... You guys don't know the numbering of your own hotel? Nothing ever changed regarding the production of noises Im guessing they were waiting for someone else to argue as well. Hope it wasn't a domestic violence case.
Other than that I enjoyed our stay, friendly in person contact with employees, valet (extra charges, but better than parking yourself because this was a flat charge all day whereas the other was each time you took out your vehicle), location was very good as it felt in the middle of everything we went to, lobby was nice other than all the noise being produced by construction.
It was better than what the Hilton looked like, which is where I wanted to stay, but not near as cool as the park Hyatt looked. Those other 2 had inflated prices months ago I'm guessing due to the world cup, but now that we're here their prices were way cheaper.... Oh well.

Family holiday of 3, warm, professional service throughout our stay .We were lucky to have our room early, worth asking on arrival. Room felt big and comfortable, with great service. Highly recommend paying for breakfast which will set you up for the day and the pool facilities were perfect The location is great with easy access to all you need. Really made our Auckland holiday.

Great location near very many choices. Walking distance to some larger gyms, though the one inside the hotel is adequate for most.

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. We were able to check in a little bit earlier than 3pm and check out at 12noon at no extra charge. Well situated and don't even have to leave the complex to enjoy the various experiences on offer. We gratefully received two free Sky Tower tickets and free parking. The only downside was lack of information in regards to parking, which we found out was at SkyCity and then getting lost walking with our luggage trying to find our way from the carpark to The Grand.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights here before flying off to Queenstown. Though it was a short stay, I must say the valet service was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and professional. The only downside to it for us is that it is more of a corporate hotel more than a leisure hotel. Thumbs up to the cleanliness of the hotel as well. Overall, it has been a good stay. The positive energy of the staff, especially the valets and concierge was absolutely great. Thumbs up to them.
