Breakfast was good. Room was very tight. We booked 1 night initially and later booked another 2 nights. We were assured the 2 bookings would be amalgamated. They were not. No one was reading the notes that had been made. Staff knocked on our door at midday after 2 nights and asked if we were checking out. We reminded them about our 3rd night. On the 3rd morning we had to argue the point at breakfast as we weren't on the list due to the notes not being passed on. Poor communication by the staff. It was clean but we won't be returning here.

The building is located in a perfect spot in queen street with only a 10/15 minute walk to the train station and a 2 minute walk to a wide range of food outlets. The building itself was amazing, tidy, and always felt secure. The beds were amazing! The views were just as good!! Excellent staff service as well! Always happy to help, and available at the front desk 24/7

We booked this hotel for its location right in the heart of Auckland's city centre, and it proved to be a great home base for our three-night stay. It is worth noting that it's smack dab in the middle of an uphill climb, so brace yourself if you plan to do a lot of walking. The rooms are spacious, with a small living area that you will be hard pressed to find in most standard hotel rooms these days, and clean as well. The buffet breakfast had a decent menu that ranged from meats, cheeses, cereals and yoghurts to savoury Western breakfast staples.

Hands down amazing!!! Beautiful view, rooms, breakfast and the staff were incredible. After a third party booking issue Nehaal and Peterarp were so helpful keeping me calm and honored my booking. Cannot thank them enough for making our weekend happen regardless of the situation and made it a weekend to remember. We will definitely be back!!

15/09/25. Booked a four day stay and wasn’t happy with my initial room so I approached the team who gave me a much better room on a higher floor with a great view of the sky tower. Hotel is in a great CBD location, easy walking to the hospital where I was visiting relatives. Car parking though limited is easily accessible provided you don’t have a car that’s larger than a sedan. On site restaurant was okay. First time I’ve had room service served by a bot, so I couldn’t figure out how to open it to get my food. When I did manage to get it opened, the plates were placed on top of each other rather than on a tray - little bit disappointed. On top of that the advertised meal on the room service app via the TV was not what I was given. So I had to ring the restaurant again to get the remainder of my meal brought up. Breakfast was buffet style - okay choices and did not change on a day-to-day basis. The lady there every morning, who did the coffees was absolutely awesome - big thumbs up to her!! Room was lovely. Aircon was nice and strong and I thought the room size was okay given I am a large woman (size 18) and I managed to move around the room fairly easily. Bed was really comfortable. Would I recommend - overall yes I would!

Rooms were nice, relatively spacious, comfortable beds, lovely bathroom. Staff were lovely and helpful. Only downside would be the location, up the top end of Queen St, it's a bit of a hill to climb at the end of a night out.

I was on a business trip so the room was perfect for what I needed. The only thing is that you couldn't use your Accor benefits at their restaurant as it is not part of the group. We did however get two complimentary drinks. Great service at the bar with a good selection of drinks.

We came all the way from Europe to Auckland, and wanted to re-create and acclimate before we start our journey through NZ, that's why we decided for the (high) Mercure-standard, but that was a disappointing choice! Very small and tiny rooms, doors to the bathroom could not been closed; staff was very friendly and helpful, but the overall condition of the hotel was way below the European standard of Mercure as we know it. Location of course is brilliant, Queen Street, don't have to say more! Anyway, I am looking forward already to my "favourite" Mercure Hotel in Berlin, former Checkpoint Charlie!

Clean, polite, decent breakfast and if you pay for dinner the steakhouse downstairs was not bad! The only complaint I have is the adjoining room- the neighbour next door was loud every night, I could hear conversations and it would have been better if I didn’t get the adjoining room.

We had a fantastic stay here! Room was very clean, stuff were helpful and friendly. We paid a little extra and had a breakfast added on which was at lone star that you can access through the lift. We enjoyed that as well, there was a buffet or you could order off the breakfast menu. We will definitely stay again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
